Hi Don,

I'm trying to answer a few of your questions. I'm pretty sure, Menion corrects me, if I'm wrong somewhere...

1) The fastest way right now to create a POI is done with 5 clicks.
- Fast access on right panel for POI
- Choose category
- Click "+" on the lower left corner
- Choose the kind (GPS, Map Center, Adress,...) for the POI
- Confirm the Name of the POI

2) Sure, you can change names of POI right when you create it. When Locus asks for the name of the POI, just click in the field with the coordinates. Your keyboard should now pop up.

3) No, not yet. Right now you can choose to export only one (in tracks menu) or all of them (export data).

4) Don't know ;) => Menion

5) Not available right now. => Menion

Hope this helps a little bit...

Well I had a little issue today with track recording (track width in meters).

It looked like it didn't wanted to start. But after playing around in track settings I finally got it to work.
So the solution was, set track width to pixels and then back to meters.

Now it works fine...

Passt ;)
Geändert :D

Jetzt steht mal "Routenführung // Guide" drin.

Import of *.gpx works here...

And I didn't have any data losses when upgrading to 0.9.28.2

Hey,

have a look into the sector "Version". Latest version is 0.9.28.2. download/file.php?id=118
0.9.28.3 is a kind of "debug"-version. Don't use this one!

I guess, you missunderstood that part.

You can start Google Navigation from Locus.
Choose a location in Locus (long-press somewhere in the map) and in the popup you can choose to start Google Navigation.

i found a little bug in 9.28.2...
it can be reproduced:
- choose the "blank" online map
- zoom to max (till the +button is grey)
- lock the screen (with the second button from lower panel)
- zoom to max (till the app crashes)

do you need a log for this?

Hi Gromsy,

you're fast with the tests ;)
So as I don't know anything about coding, programming or developping, I don't know if this can be fixed. On my phone and (as far as I know) on all other phones you have a GPS fix in Locus when you do the first test. Probably there is a hardware issue with the HD2, as it wasn't meant to be an Android phone.

I think it is a feature, that was built in, to prevent battery draining too fast and the HD2 can't handle it correctly.

In the meantime, you now know, how you can trick out Locus.
Another solution is the usage of an external bluetooth GPS receiver. If you want to do that, you shouldn't use the Locus-own gps bluetooth service. Run a GPS Provider like http://www.appbrain.com/app/bluetooth-g ... ilej.btgps

Hope that helps?

Regards

Hi gromsy,

Can you please do two little tests:

1st test:
- run locus
- wait for gps fix
- start recording a track in Locus (the little icon appears in notification bar)
- turn the screen off, wait a moment, turn the screen on again
- what is the result? do you have a gps fix or not?

2nd test:
- if available, start MyTracks, if not get it from market and start it
- wait for gps fix
- start recording a track in MyTracks (the little icon appears in notification bar)
- run Locus (you should have a gps fix within a second)
- turn the screen off, wait a moment, turn the screen on again
- what is the result? do you have a gps fix or not?

Thanks for your cooperation in trying to fix your problem ;)

Regards, berkley

Hi,

have you tried GPS Babel? http://www.gpsbabel.org/
It's a translation tool for map files...

Or simply have a look right here: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4  :P

Hi,

Do you mean this one: http://www.navit-project.org/ ?
And you'd like to start the navigation in navit from Locus?
