Quote from: "MaleSmurf"I opened such a file and it contains cities, boroughs, postcodes, roads, roads_postcodes, roads_boroughs. Every road is listed with lat/lon  8-)
Now this sounds interesting!
If we could locate a street while being offline for compass navigation..
Great for when on vacation..

For 3 it is perhaps better that we can change the status even after logging?

If you click in the key on the bottom left when opening the cache in Locus it is displayed

I am wondering since GC.com has their API opened up and more support for GC.com will come to Locus if this part can also be done by it.
If GC.com Premium members could download full caches on the go trough Locus we wouldn't need a PC anymore so it would be cool if the spoiler part could also be done by Locus.

Hi,

I use Tapatalk to access a lot of forums while on the go, it would be great if you could add support for it!
Their plugin is free to use and support phpBB 3.0.X
http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php

thanks in advance for looking at it!

Add-ons & Co-apps / Re: Addon - Geocaching

thanks for the update!
also great to hear you guys got a beta code for the GC.com api!!

I just took a look at this addon today and really like it, it has some great potential!
a couple of things I miss though (some of them you already have on your todo list :) )
- import all cache info (like a PocketQuery - possibly only for Premium members)
- ability to log a visit or upload/log a Field Note (pc-less GC'ing :) )
- have an option to update the caches automatically when the map moves (if you want to screen the area for caches when on a trip)
- option to download spoiler pics and additional pictures in cache description (for a complete offline trip)
- if a cache is imported like a month ago, have the option to update the logs (for example you prepared caches for a vacation and can't find the cache so you can update the logs)

I'm more of an unplanned cacher, I go someplace and then think to myself "this looks like a nice place to cache.." :)

would like to know your view on the topics offcourse :)

Hi,

I did some track recordings and added some points during the recording
I experienced 2 "issues"
- the keyboard stick to capitals letter (upper case) and I can't switch it to lower case
- created points can't be renamed

other than that it's a great feature!

Oh, one small thing I do miss coming from My tracks for this is that Locus doesn't seem to show the "Time Moved" in the Information screen of the recorded track..

that's great news!
how exciting! :)

I didn't test Geocaching4Locus yet because Locus is still new to me and wanted to know what is done by Locus and what by the addon.
I will check it out this week for sure..

I'm also looking forward to this!

download PocketQueries is not that handy when on the go..

FYI there is a Geocaching app that works with connectors and can list the surrounding Geocaches of your location and download one (as gpx with all info and logs) to your device (only if you're a premium member)
they have released the source of the connector:
http://android.ranitos.de/files/connector-sample.zip

don't know if this could be of any use but it might :)

they also contacted Groundspeak about a year ago if it was ok for them to connect to the website but never got a reply so they released this source as an example and allow users to "compile" it themselves so there are no licensing issues

I'm also checking out the Geocaching features of Locus.
I really hope you also like Geocaching and will add/enhance these features because the combination of vector maps and maps rotation make it ideal for it :)

I hope I can find some time to test it this week and will surely give feedback and ideas (if I have some :) )
