Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.18.+ ( 8/2023 )
August 21, 2023, 18:11:16
Quote from: joeloc on August 21, 2023, 18:00:35The google maps point sharing "fix" now extracts the points name from the funny url and does a new Locus "search" for that. It's unfortunately almost as unusable as before. I now tried it 10 times in real world situations (still being on an endless bike journey). 3/10 times Locus didn't find the point (by name) at all. 5/10 times if "found" something completely different by the same or a similar name, sometimes 100km away. 2/10 times it found the right thing.

Verdict: still an almost complete failure. re-searching in that way is not an option. if you cannot extract proper coordinates from a funny url, we're f*cked forever.

Apparently this "workaround fix app" that people here talk about manages to do it fine though. Too bad it's no longer supported and doesn't install on current Androids without jumping through hoops :-)
You are in the wrong topic. here was written so that it works only with the next version. 4.18.2.2. or 4.19.

Lange auf die Karte klicken. Dann unten Navigieren auswählen.
Alles über navigation findest du hier.
https://docs.locusmap.app/de/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation

https://docs.locusmap.app/de/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation#adding_via_points_during_navigation

Die Ausrichtung der Karte findest du hier.
https://docs.locusmap.app/de/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_mainscr_ctrl#rotating

Troubles & Questions / Re: Tracks not showing
August 17, 2023, 16:15:55
If you use the maps from Openandromaps, the themes will be installed as well. Just select the country, go to the + and choose Install Locus.
The maps are very good for hiking and available worldwide. Hiking trails are highlighted by difficulty. Hiking trails can be shown or hidden.

navigation_announcements_times = 50
or
navigation_announcements_times = 80 | 600

I like the behavior Hide tracks for a short time very much now. There is still one small bug. After hiding, the map shows the hidden icon on the top right, along with the top bar. I have the top bar set to auto hide.
When I click on the hidden icon the tracks are displayed again. But the top bar does not disappear anymore.
Is it also possible to show only the icon without the top bar ?

Maps / Re: Grapbics problem with openandromaps

This is not a mistake. It shows you a nature reserve. If you don't want it then you can disable it in the theme. Borders + special areas.

Quote from: Menion on June 21, 2023, 21:37:49The secondary function, by the long click, is the temporary hide of all points/tracks.
@Menion the new long tap doesn't provide any visual feedback. You don't know whether anything has changed or the long tap has done anything until you return to the map. Could the long tap also return directly to the map?
I have another idea for feedback if something has changed with the Lang click.
It shows 30 / 16500. 30 tracks are shown out of 16500. Once the tracks are hidden the number 30 could turn red. So I see immediately so that what has changed and I also see in the side panel so that they are hidden.
The same could be done in the library. Normally there are only faded in at 0 a red 0 shown. here you could then also show 5 / 45. and the 5 then red for hidden.

Long click on brush icon is a good solution. But it would be nice if it then returns to the map right away. Andrew has already written it.
After hiding by long click, the Tracks icon appears in the upper right corner, crossed out in red. But here the whole line is displayed. It would be enough if only the symbol is displayed. My setting is: hide top row automatically. Without the symbol it works but with the symbol it does not work.

2 lines consumes too much space again. If so, you should be able to hide them in the menu.
But you could make both buttons in one line. The name Tracks is very short.

The previous version for fading in and out tracks was better. I have faded in tracks in different folders.
Now I want to hide them all for a short time so that I have a clean map. I click once on it and all are hidden. I click again and the old state is restored. I had left certain tracks faded in, because I still want to do something here. Now the state is broken. I do not know which they were. I have 40 folders and 10000 tracks.

I like the advanced theme. But I'm still missing something. When I click on the current theme, the theme selection opens. When I select one it jumps back to the map content panel. Like before, I want to go straight to the map. It was like this...click on icon for map...click on name Options opened. I think most people want to go straight back to the map when changing a theme.

Locus ist auch eine Outdoor App. Wandern, Radfahren, Geocaching....
