I don't know if this behaviour has been reported before:

When I search for a LoPoint category (e.g. supermarket), the results are displayed on the map as icons (screenshot 1).

If I zoom a little further into the map, more and more LoPoints of other categories are displayed as red square icons: Peaks, churches, other... (screenshots 2 and 3).

(I have set the red icon as the default point icon in the Expert Settings under Points).

Of course you can live with this, the LoPoints you are looking for can be easily distinguished visually from the red icons, but it would make more sense to display only the LoPoints you are looking for.

I have about 20 dashboards, many of them for testing purposes only. In the "Select dashboard" list, the three "last used" dashboards are listed at the top and the others below ("other"). The sorting appears to be primarily alphabetical. However, I have individual dashboards that are always sorted in the wrong alphabetical position. They also remain in the wrong position when I rename them. See screenshots.
That is strange. What could be the reason for this?

Indeed, the "straight ahead" instruction is actually generated by LoRouter unnecessarily often in certain cases, especially in the city:

If I plan a route directly on a long street (not pavement!), no superfluous "straight ahead" instructions are generated.

If I plan in pedestrian mode (profile walking) along the same road on the pavement/sidewalk, numerous "straight ahead" directions are generated, not at road junctions, but always at the access roads to properties (driveways), which are naturally very common in the city. (OSM tag highway=service / service=driveway). And also at intersecting cycleways. See screenshots.

Somehow LoRouter thinks it has to generate a "straight ahead" instruction at every "driveway" and "cycleway" crossing. GraphHopper and BRouter do not generate these. Therefore I suspect a bug in LoRouter when routing on pavements.

Screenshot 3 is a straight way in a forest passing a allotment garden colony. A "straigt ahead" instruction is generated every few metres on every path/access road into the colony. A bit annoying.  8)

No, unfortunately that's not possible. I also don't think the colours are well chosen and the map or planning is confusing as a result.

I therefore prefer to plan on the PC with brouter web (https://brouter.de/brouter-web), even if I can only export my routes and not synchronise them.

However, I usually plan with the route planner in the app, which I really like.

No way. You have to live with that.

Troubles & Questions / Re: Navigate reversely

Yes, in this case correct application of traffic rules, one way streets etc. can't be guaranteed.

Alternative: Stop navigation, recalculate route with route planner and set "reverse route direction".

In route planner. Choose planning mode and disable checkbox "include navigation commands".

Alternative route - found it. As Tapio wrote, a bit hard to see, but if you look at it once, ok. I tend not to need it and leave it deactivated.

"Fill of street addresses" - I see no difference if activated or not. Street names are always listed in route planner segments. Or I still haven't understood what is meant. 🤔

Locus Map / Re: [APP] - version 4.25.+ ( 8/2024 )

Thanks for the new beta!

I have not yet understood the first two new features ("support for alternative route" and "disable fill of street addresses"). Where can I find them?

First impression: the improved time displays in the route planner / track info window look good.

In my opinion, it would be better for the time if the unit "hour" was also displayed below 1 hour. So 0:35 h instead of 35 m.
With "m" I always think of metres as with the other fields. In addition, the saved space is unnecessary, as at least 3 digits are displayed from 1 hour (1:02 h).

In the dashboard (this is not a new request, but I have wanted to suggest it for a long time), I would like to see a little more space between the value and the unit. They are very close together, which looks a bit inelegant. In some cases, the number and unit are touching.

Zoom settings for overlays: when overlay is activated, the "Advanced options" button is half cut off or covered by the Android footer. You then have to pull up the menu a little. But that's not a problem.

The new design of the "all functions" menu actually looks a bit nicer.  :)

Have a nice weekend!

Can't confirm that. Bottom bar is completely displayed for me. Maybe a problem on your device?

Nein, deine Frage war zuletzt "warum eigentlich nicht". 🙂

Screenshot 1: you can deactivate the "include navigation commands" option beforehand. Then the navigation instructions will only be created based on the direction changes of the route. There would be none here, as the route has no bends. You have to try it out.

Screenshot 2: the case is a matter of opinion. I prefer it this way as it is clearer. Sometimes, if the offset is only very slight, the presence would be superfluous, but where exactly should the limit be? Especially as it sometimes looks clearer in reality than on the map and vice versa.

Not a bug, but a bit of a nuisance:

I create a route or record a track. This is saved in folder xy and automatically receives the style of the folder. So far so good.

If I want to change the line style of a track later (and don't want to keep the style of the folder), all style properties are first reset to the default style (line red). Only width is retained.
Everything else (patterns, colouring mode, outline) is reset.

If I only want to change a single property, e.g. the type of patterns, I still have to set again everything else.

It would be better if all line properties of the track to be changed were retained in the menu so that I can only change the desired detail.
Maybe optionally with a button "set default style", if someone prefers that.

Screenshot 1: Style of the folder
Screenshot 2: Edit dialogue
Screenshot 3: Use style of the folder deactivated. All properties are reset (except width)
