For navigation etc. I use the "classic map" theme, it shows the name in much more zoom levels than the internal themes.
For outdoor activities, the internal hiking or biking themes are better for me, but there I'm usually not interested in town names because I then know where I am...

Quote from: "menion"Because you're first who find it after around two years since I did it, I hope it's not so big problem. Because if so, I have to rewrite whole system for field notes and store them in some database till your export them from Locus to any file. So? :)

Hi menion,

if it's intenionally done this way, it's totally o.k. for me. I understand the limitations of the gcFieldNotes.txt file, there is no need to change the whole system just for double quotes...  :!:

Another very small problem with character escaping: Every double quote (") in an online log is replaced by a single quote ('). Happens when logging caches online or when creating field notes, using released version 2.12.2.

Previous released version (2.12.0) had a problem with logging caches, every newline was converted to a "n".

The current released version (2.12.1) fixes that, however, when logging a trackable online via GC Live -> Log a trackable, that conversion still occurs.

Quote from: "menion"you mean published version 2.12.0 or these test versions?

Also which function exactly ... in cache > field notes > upload field notes, or mass upload from menu > functions > Geocaching Live?

Published version 2.12.0, and mass upload via function -> Geocaching Live

Are there any changes in uploading field notes to gc.com in 2.12.x?

When I try to upload field notes, there is a message "uploading field notes" which disappears without further notice. No progress bar, as in last versions. The field notes in Locus are not deleted. Only the first field note is uploaded to gc.com., all other field notes on my device are ignored.

I know that there were some problems on gc.com side in the last days, but the problem persists since yesterday. Other actions which use GC live API (like loading/updating caches via gc4locus) are running fine today. So it seems to me like a problem with 2.12.x...

Hallo,

unter "Funktionen" -> "Route hinzufügen & messen" kannst Du Routen selbst zeichnen.

Quote from: "menion"mambo & henk: I do not saw white tiles on vector maps. Is this happening only on a raster maps? Have to check it

It happens with vector maps here. Mainly after jumping around across borders of vector maps. As henk writes, the white tiles disappear after zooming in/out.

Also on 2.11.1, vector map switch works fine for me.

But I also see white tiles on the map, also the quick map switch button stays in the upper left corner. I saw this mainly when "jumping around" on the map. After zooming in/out the white tiles disappear, also does the quick map switch button.

The speed of the vector maps is amazing fast for higher zoom levels!

Quote from: "jusc"ihr könnt ja mal testen, ob Euch das was taugt
Ja, das taugt was - cool!

Hi,
to upload field notes to geocaching.com, go to functions -> geocaching live. Logon to gc.com. Now you can use the function "upload field notes", you will be asked wether the field notes should be uploaded as field notes or directly as logs.

Hope that helps,

Was mache ich falsch?
