Some thoughts to the new point screen:

At the first glance it looked good great ... but after some playing with it I found some annoying things.
Normally I used the popup screen to examine an unknown cache area and page threw the caches to see D/T, Favorites, latest log icons ....
Now I have a huge window which covers a lot of the map. The position of the active cache isn't shown directly. I have to press the lower left button. When tapping the next cache this focus doesn't change.
Many of the shown information in the screen isn't useful ( for my geocaching view) ... and to switch to full description I have to press the lower cache-button. Some information is missing ( favorites).

It should be fully working for all points except geocaches (here is currently an option to display old screen

If you press the 'log-button' Locus stops ... and never come back.

Is this one of the above mentioned open points?

Version has expired today ... and  changed to Free Version. 
Is there a new Alpha planned?

I use it on my tablet ... and to be honest I'm now so familiar  with this version that I really miss it.

I think its difficult/impossible to find a satisfying start screen for all users.
Maybe for the first steps a single defined system can lead to believe this ... but after some usage its clear to have special requirements. And this have to be easy too.

Maybe you can start the map with a set of ready defined map views for different activities.
And for examble use top bar to swipe threw ...
Each activity could have a set of predefined settings.

If a biker/hiker/townsman/... can easily find his predefined view he can start very quick ... and even after some usage he doesn't need to jump into a huge customization system.
Second effort would be a fast and easy switch between activities  ...

Hi,
I tried the right button ... and after a deeper look I discovered how this could work.
It took me a longer time because format is shown in a 4-digit format therefore I didn't recognize the "right' format.
In the field (while struggling 😉 with the cache I haven't found it ...😚
Another point which make the process more difficult is that the note-field is covered by the new popup dialog box ... 🤔

Is there a solution/workaround for this issue?

I'm not able to solve a multi/mystery with this version ... 

Just updated to new version ... but the Lat/Lon format is not the format used with geocaching ( and defined in settings).

Habe ich gerade gemacht ...

when creating a new geocaching waypoint its default values are generated with '°' ... but with this symbol the waypoint can't be saved.
If the '°' is removed ... the waypoint can be saved without error message.

Passiert generell. Man kann den Fehler aber umgehen, wenn man das Grad-Zeichen entfernt.

In offline mode (and only there ) the voice output with google tts module doesn't work.
I downloaded the google language package but nothing changed. With Samsung tts module offline voice output is working.
Weird thing ... when trying settings via Locus the default is set to tschech language ... and this is working with google tts modul in offline modus.

Hat mich jetzt auch interessiert .

Hi,
I switched to new 😎 phone with Android 9 Pie .... and after some struggling with settings ( especially power save settings ) all works well and I did my first bike tour today. 😎

With the new phone my hope was even with setting: 'enable/disable screen - turn on when notifying a track command'  changing to another app could work without entering a pin.

But ... also with new opportunities of android system to stay online Locus asks me for a pin when I change to another app ( GPS Status, even to Locus addon geocaching)
I wonder if this is really necessary or what triggers this behaviour.

- in android I disabled my lock mode while near to my trusted bluetooth headset ... so I don't need to unlock my phone.
- in Locus I don't activate 'disable screen lock'.

Therefore I hoped I can switch (when parking 😉) to other apps without entering a pin ( whyever fingerprint isn't requested).

Anyone any idea ... ?
