I usually measure ~2.5%/h, so 5% would be terrible, but I don't have any long (5+h) ride scheduled in order to accurately test.

@menion - if I leave Locus+track recording enabled & just have phone sitting on ground for 5 hours, is this still equivalent to a bike ride for 5 hours (display turned off in both scenarios)?

V 3.40.0 RC2 - confirm dramatic decrease in startup speed.

TTS - seems OK for me. Wolfgang I observe that German is top of TTS list. Coincidence?

I've set export to directory Locus/export/test, then I've deleted "test" directory in file browser and then pressed "export" button. And no error, all went well. "test" directory was automatically created and inside is exported file. So please, precise steps or video needed if you want to fix it, thanks.

bad export directory: so you don't see a big orange error message briefly? Maybe just toooo brief on your device. I'll record next week when holiday is finished

saving from route planner: 3.39.4.4 now displays Saving... progress msg, previous beta didn't show this? and saving time is now quicker. I can't give better steps at present.


simultaneous apps: no worries

I still see after new track saved from route planner still showing 435738h track time?

Today I had beta running with track recording, and my partner accidentally then ran Pro too. I only realised hours later when I went to export & rename the tracks. Each track for the day (4) had 2 identical copies. Is there any need for Pro and beta to run simultaneously? If not, could there be a warning, or just prevent the 2nd instance? I know this will happen extremely rarely & therefore not worth the effort.

When you tap Save, then should appear "edit screen" (with track name, description etc.). Is the "slow moment" between save and this screen or later when you set name and press "Save"?
for example, open existing route, Save, Overwrite. At this point the phone becomes unresponsive, then screen dims to black, then finally back to previous screen.

@menion - just rename the directory. Yes, a new dir is created. The main point is that the error message is not displayed for long enough.

Saving the route from route planner in beta is considerably slower in beta than pro. The whole phone locks up. For example a 100km route, I tap Save, Locus takes more than 15s in beta. The total time isn't so much the issue, but maybe there needs to be some progress indication. No other Locus process locks up/ unresponsive like this saving.

Below is not just in beta but pro as well...

if the export directory is invalid, and then long tap on a track, then tap Export, an orange msgbox is displayed with the correct problem, BUT only for a very short period, 100ms.

check please settings of TTS in Locus Map itself (settings > languages). Check if you have selected language you wants to use and not some other localization.
definitely I have English selected. I did have same experience of Czech as the default recently. As a workaround I have changed from the Google TTS (which speaks 2x speed in beta only) to Samsung TTS (which sounds ok). Note no problem with pro.

I have GPS & track recording auto start. Often I will turn them both off when I start Locus. I notice in the latest beta that even when I disable them both, that a few seconds later my actions are ignored, and they are both reenabled.

If I understand the question correctly, I link each preset/ theme to a dashboard which has its first line being static text with the name of the preset/ theme. A bit messy but better than nothing.

@menion - but it's not an issue with pro, only beta. It is most annoying when you tap on an item and the list moves to another position to avoid you.

PS: is the slider a new feature? Yes, I notice it now, thanks. However even knowing this fact, it still seems inconsistent/ unpredictable at times.
