very nice on the touring routing profile speed; default 20km/h was much too fast

Can someone please tell me when I import a route (track) into Locus web planner whether the track point elevations <ele> are maintained? I have just downloaded Sonny DTM France 1asec v3 HGT files (2.4GB!!) in order to improve the slope accuracy of some planned routes.

At one section, in LM4 the slope is 7% whereas the web planner is showing stupid 31%.

Extra question: is it possible yet to keep each HGT file within a ZIP file? I know it has been discussed & I did a search but could find no answer. I could test myself, but it's pretty slow. I suspect not possible.

@tapio FYI I am following a bike route near Nancy, north-eastern France.

In LM https://web.locusmap.app/en/?lat=48.642633&lng=6.261931&z=19&map=hikeBike the route is marked V52.

Also V52 with https://brouter.m11n.de/#map=18/48.64237/6.26169/CyclOSM

However in LM Android with your OS Map themes the route is marked "PAN", which means "Paneuropa route".

The OSM meta data https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=18/48.644124/6.273000 shows the path as a part of feature "bicycle route" with route# V52 & name "V52 - Veloroute 52 - Laneuveville to Maixe" and has 2 relations with "Paneuropa route".

The label V52 for the online maps seem a more useful description than "PAN" so I am wondering whether there is anyway to displayed the former rather than the latter. Then online & offline are also more consistent.

It doesn't help directly as the question is for the (online) Web Planner, but using Android LM4 you can choose/ experiment with a 3rd party mapping theme. If you are adventurous you have full control over the color of everything on the map. But the learning curve is huge & outside scope of this topic.

Check app settings > Navigation > LoRouter offline settings ... here are two new options. Alternative routes is a new feature

In full screen mode there, the title bar "Route Planner" needs to move up 1 "row" so right at the top?

Alternative routes - I have enabled, I tried with car & touring bike profiles, but don't see an alternative generated. Would these 2 new settings be better located in the Route Planner main menu rather than the Settings > Navigation menu? I would think sometimes you want them on, sometimes off, and that decision is when in the planner.

Only make one tiny change at a time (unless you know what you are doing) then check/ test; make the next tiny change. Repeat. Yes it's very tedious but I know of no other way; always have a backup. I do the editing on Windows as you can see more of the file & have better facilities for bookmarks etc.

I've just created it, sorry not to write this. It will be available in the next Beta version.

New beta... It works! The naming works, but icon does not, or I don't know how. I used "icon":"Z-ico02". The icon name I retrieved via longtap an icon.

@Tapio maybe a little Tasker demo project to share?

fixed in web route planner v1.46.1: & seems ok to me with Vivaldi, unless you have more specific steps to reproduce any error.

Still crashes, but if I'm the only one with this issue, don't bother, I will buy a new mobile phone in September after seven years. It's time to make one step forward from Android 7.0 

@luce @menion I don't know if the same issue I have with Android 8; I emailed a few bug reports last year - some exception "deep within the operating system" & too hard to fix; only happens with my older A8 phone; completely random crashes can be at any time in LM4 UI usage, although fortunately not if just track recording; maybe different to "crashes in one of "our" libraries" but thought I'd mention Luce you aren't the only one with crashes.

@menion can you please explain a little bit more about this new feature? I have read the suggestion webpage) and like the general idea because I've sometimes been in the same situation of pausing then riding on & forgetting to unpause. And because I try to have the display mostly off I don't notice the orange icon anyway (even if large & in the middle of screen). I have LM4 notifications disabled but 4 times yesterday while using LM for navigation & track recording I hear this voice... I had no idea what it was about until I read various comments here (thanks others) (PS. & now reading help suggestion I very much like the idea & was going to suggest years ago). Should TTS be enabled if notifications are disabled? Maybe the TTS first says "Locus Map..."?
