Auto-pause: I was testing it during the weekend and have to say: it does not work at all, sorry! As I wrote, the first attempt: will have to test it more and let you know.

Record only when moving: this option simply ignores locations, when the app receives a location with speed = 0 (or close to 0). This new option should really pause & unpause recording based on the movement. In the best case, also disable/enable GPS when the app is on the background!! Once the new option will work, the old one should be removed.

I'll discuss texts with Michal anyway if you select all cache sizes or select NO cache sizes has no effect on the result. Because in all cases, app returns all sizes .

Today Auto Stop activated. Looks quite good.

I'm wondering, what's the difference?

Changes since Autumn 1.0 release:
- Triggered by the request of a North American user I produced ZL 12/13 maps for much of North America.
- While ZL 12 and 13 maps have been available for parts of Europe already, I have created an additional set of maps with ZL 12/13 with wider coverage.
- Once this train started rolling, I also produced ZL 12 maps for much of Asia, split in two, as well as for Africa.
- The OAM background from ZL 8 up now is rendered from the Dec edition of Christian's OAM vector maps.
- The torrent downloads are now separated into three chunks: World maps, regional maps at ZL 11 and regional maps at ZL 12/13.

Those are the changes since summer:
- The OAM background from ZL 8 up now is rendered from the Oct edition of the OAM vector maps.
- Wind turbines could overcrowd and hide streets and other useful information in ZL 9 - 11. Now a grid based grouping into "WP" is used, substituting all turbines in the respective tile (~4km for ZL 9-10, ~2km for ZL 11). Offshore farms show all turbines as available in OSM.
Enjoy - maybe only couch surfing this time of the year :-)

[new Beta version 4.12.1.2]

Hi guys,
interesting new Beta version 4.12.1.2 just published.

What to expect?
- downloading of geocaches directly over the app > future of G4L is unsure so I've decided to implement all necessary features directly into app
- a test version of the new system for full-screen mode ("Expert settings" where probably remains)
- a test version of the activity recognition system for track recording > new option "Auto pause" in the setting of recording profile. I've not tested it in the field yet so use on your own risk. The top bar on the main screen may display a "Custom" panel with current info about the detected activity.
- and many fixes ... uff. Enjoy weekend!

- NMEA simulation is visible only if any NMEA message is in the Locus/cache/nmea directory

Hi Andrew, you seem to use also some middle "Screen zoom" so together with little bigger fonts, it causes these problems. Anyway, the issue is on my side of course. The app should be prepared for this.

As I see, most easy is to remove units in case of this hh:mm:ss time format. So done, hope this helps.

@balloni55 interesting - what app are you using to measure the free RAM? does it require a rooted device?

You are too fast. New setting is in the end not available in the points/tracks settings, but added into "Expert settings" as "Track previews during import".

Another workaround without splitting a track into segments is to use analyzer in Locus Map Classic with Settings > Points & tracks > Tap on track > Popup. Please see the screen capture.

- The 'Navigation / guidance' button is available in the 'Popup' menu. It appears by tapping on the track(part) preview in its detail screen followed by selecting the track(part) on the map. This is possible only in Locus Map Classic but not in Locus Map 4.

- If the 'Screen' option is selected instead of the 'Popup' option, the 'Navigation / guidance' button is not available.

- To remove the track(part) from the map, Locus app have to be closed then restarted. There is no 'hide' button in the 'Popup' menu.

The method above might be unexpected or obsoleted behavior but it looks working fine. I hope it's not difficult to implement the navigation button for a track(part) as well as for normal tracks in the track detail info view. Then the feature will be available in Locus Map 4, too.

Changes in the next version
- I've detected that the app saved previews in PNG format, sorry for this. It will be changed to compressed JPEG so the average size will be around 40kb (instead of the current average size 250kb!).
- I've also added an option into Points/tracks settings to disable generating of previews upon import (Locus Map 4.12.1+).

ah thanks, amazing observation. This is it! I'll improve it, so next version will be for sure > perfect 

Tasker has a command "Immersive Mode", but as for the top status bar, only the text disappears, the grey area stays.
Can't say anything about the bottom bar with home button etc., I use gesture control, so no bar here anyway.

Fullscreen mode was added to Locus, when Android did not support translucent status bar and navigation bar. Both system bars were pinned to the screen without possibility to style them. The only option was to hide them to increase space for application (fullscreen mode). Over time, options to style system bars were added and also from 2018 there are many devices with notch, which are unusable with fullscreen mode, because some important UI elements are hidden behind notch. So we decided to delete fullscreen mode from application and improve UI in map screens, so the map is properly visible behind system bars in both orientations. On the other screens, fullscreen mode does not make sense at all.

are you sure that GGA sentence is received on your tablet? You may record a short NMEA message and share it with me for test, thanks.

Labels on the satellite map > in the "Online" tab of maps manager is a separate "Satellite with labels" map available.

Error in route planner for online LoRouter > good point, thanks, improved.

"Automatic loading of fresh info for offline LoPoints" > very nice new feature. When you click and display detail of the offline LoPoint, it, when the internet connection is available, tries to download fresh data from our web server. So with very little data connection, you get fresh data for even very old LoPoints.

Problem with loading of offline LoPoints > this probably won't help here, sorry.
