Hi,

I'm using only LM Free or testing Betas on Genymotion. When I switched to MS Win 10 I had to reinstall Genymotion and since then I didn't manage to install Gplay services successfully - the same issue - LM Pro can't load validation libraries. No clue where the bug is.

Hi Volker,

As there is no Locus Map Pro version for PC/MAC, a virtual machine may be the solution... We use Genymotion here at office but also BlueStacks is quite usable and more user-friendly.

Hi,

you're right. However - firstly, we are planning to reduce their number, select only the most used, and change their naming in order to improve their comprehensiveness.

Superb Wolfgang! Thank you very much, the image has been added to German manual.

Hi Wolfgang,

okay, but there's a problem - it's quite difficult to make it happen when all our Gplay accounts are registered in Czech rep. Will you please provide a screenshot of the page with EUR values? I'll gladly add it to the manual. Many thanks!

And if anybody from U.S. reads this - will you please make a screenshot of Locus Store > Purchase Locoins with USD values and post it here? Many thanks, will be much appreciated!

Troubles & Questions / Re: Rotate map
October 26, 2015, 11:24:45
Hi,

go to settings > sensors > orientation filter and set some heavier filter - the compass movement will be slower but less jerky.

As for Glonass - it depends on the device GPS unit - Locus Map accepts its data and if it sends Glonass data, Locus Map receives and processes them.

Hi,

I would check these settings:
- settings > navigation > voice (watch for TTS - it doesn't have to be functional for all languages - testing recommended)
- settings > navigation > advanced > strict route navigation OFF (if you miss some of the points due to e.g. poor GPS signal, navigation will direct you to the missed point and won't continue in navigating along the route)
- navigation > advanced >number of commands > medium or high (depends what you need)

If you prefer guidance along a track, check following:
- settings > guidance > set next trackpoint distance
- _"_ > set notification of the next direction change ON > set sound/beep/TTS...
- _"_ > advanced > strict route guidance OFF, number of alerts medium or high, notify on every trackpoint OFF

If all this is done and voice or alerts don't work, send me GPX of your route at pr@asamm.com I'll test it

Lze přesunout pouze adresář zálohování, vektorových map a SRTM (výškových) dat. Více informací zde: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=cz:manual:faq:use_sdcard_on_kitkat#zmeny_v_androidu_50

Other features / Re: Smart sorting of offline maps
September 30, 2015, 10:31:36
For me the new sorting option is much better than the previous one. Now I clearly see my purchased LoMaps in one "L" folder sorted by states. Other maps are in two MAPS directories, one for vector maps, other for rasters. One thing I would appreciate - either merge these two MAPS directories in one - OR rename the vector MAPS to MAPSVECTOR (the first option preferred).

old sorting vers new sorting in my case:

Thanks KaHeMu for your help... Silvermapper, I think you've hit the point, however let me summarize how to backup your Locus Map data to a PC:

  • Locus > More > Backup > select whether to backup settings or all data (incl. points, tracks...)
  • Copy your backup file stored in Locus directory/Backup to PC - via Dropbox, USB cable etc.
  • Maps have to be saved separately, they are not part of the backup process
When restoring data or moving to another device, make sure the device is registered under the same Google play account. Copy the backup file to Locus/backup directory, tap Menu >Backup > Restore and select your backup file
