Quote from: Horalka on January 04, 2024, 13:04:16Dobrý den. Mám Locus gold a mobil Samsunng galaxy S20.

Quote from: freischneider on November 30, 2023, 17:17:24Turning instructions are generated for the hiking segments. But not for the manual ones.
Idea: Whenever there is a manual segment, the turn-by-turn directions are generated based on the angle change of the route.
Locus Map only generates navigation commands according to the route shape if the route doesn't contain any commands at all. Combining this method with commands rendered by the router would probably cause a mess.

Hi,
it is not possible as you probably imagine it. All routers provided by Locus Map render routes only using the OSM network. Or, you can draw the route manually. One possible workaround, though quite laborious:

- visualize all the "bunch of tracks" on the map
- start the route planner and select the "draw manually" mode
- draw the route along the lines of your imported tracks

I don't understand why "Routenplaner" was replaced by "Route neuberechnen."
For me this describes a function in navigation, but here it is no recalculation but a modification of an existing track.
Suggestion: Route ändern / editieren / modifizieren... Or rename it "Routenplaner" like it was before.
This is rather a problem of the German translation - the English original is "Re-route" meaning "change the route progress in the route planner". I'll change it to "Route ändern" then. Thanks!

"Fine-tune" terminology. Why? I guess to distinguish from Route Planner. But imo it's a weird choice. After all, it is a track editor. And e. g. I don't expect split/merge under fine-tune.
OK, we're renaming it to "Edit track". It is more generic than "repair" or "fine-tune" and the tool in which it is done is called "Track editor". Hopefully this will suit the majority.

Hi, typo corrected, thanks for reporting it.

Other features / Re: Android 11+, changes

hi Wolfgang, I've tested many file managers and Solid explorer ans X-plore should tackle this. But on Xiaomi phones, none of the managers succeeded in transferring the files manually. Only connecting the phone to a PC managed to do the task via Total Commander.

To be honest, I would rather not rely on SD card with its "ability" to handle database fast random read/writing, its stability etc. Not long ago I lost all my data on an SD card due to its malfunction and the necessity of formatting.

Be careful on moving locus 4  from  SD card to internal memory (or  the other way around), the process copy also data (track, points, overwriting files with same name? )and then deletes the files from original location.

Suggested to do a backup in both version before moving.
In your case I would rather make a full backup of your LMPro data and restore it in LM4 after its transfer to the internal memory.

Hi Bruno,

both apps share the same data folder provided it is placed in the same storage. So move Locus Map 4 to the internal memory (don't worry about any conflict). Only their settings are detached. If you want to have the same settings on your LM4 as you had in LM Pro, make a backup of LM Pro settings and restore it in LM 4 via the backup manager.

Do not delete any folders from LM Pro - as the database is shared with LM 4, you would delete it also from LM 4. Only uninstall LM Pro if you don't need it any longer.

Troubles & Questions / Re: Three times map
April 01, 2021, 08:11:01
Hi Andreas,
this sometimes happens after the import of LM Pro settings to the LM 4. Just tap and hold the extra button and set it for another feature there instead. OR, go to Locus settings > Controlling > Panels&buttons > Num of rows in main menu > set 2

Thank you guys! Your help is much appreciated.

It is now quite sure that Locus Map 4 will be available in three versions - free (similar to the current LM Free version), subscription 1 (with approx the same features as of today's LM Pro) and subscription 2 with the full range of features and services.

After quite a long argument and numerous suggestions, our team has voted for the following triad:

Plain (free version)
Hill (subscription 1)
Mountain (subscription 2)

Before we take it officially, we would like to know the opinion of the native English speaking members of this forum, e.g. @john_percy or @Andrew Heard:

Does this naming make sense? Isn't it weird or funny or whatever that should prompt us to make up something different?

Thanks for your replies.
