Menion, I am convinced the conversion of trackpoints to shaping points in route planner can not be found by the average user. The button which has to be tapped looks unrelated, some info is expected there. IMO the functionality should be placed bottom left, maybe even directly.You cannot view this attachment.

Man muss da aus dem Punkt an der Ecke einen Shaping- oder Via-Point machen. Also grünen oder blauen. Und die kann man auch ziehen. Ich selbst habe LM4.

Ich verwende Locus Map u. a. zum Motorradfahren. Bei der Erstellung von Routen ist "Autobahn vermeiden" hier schon sinnvoll, da man als Motorradfahrer Autobahnen nur befährt, um Strecke zu machen, aber nicht, um Motorrad zu fahren...

Autobahnen lassen sich vermeiden, ist aber nicht einfach im UI, Locus ist halt keine Auto/Motorrad-App. Und Brouter primär auch nicht.

Menion, general question. I was always wondering. Loading a small, 500 mb regional vector map vs. a big 3gb one.

Does this affect power consumption of Locus in any way? I would guess loading big or small map makes no difference for Locus. It probably reads some kind of metadata, table and relevant area. And on map dragging/zooming, Locus would only load, more or less, the visible areas anyway.

Still I was always a bit hesitant about using the big maps.

what your task should do? Most bookmarks need to have an open and visible map screen. Without it, does not work.

My task? I have no task, I don't need quick bookmarks triggered via intent. Was just testing what op tries.

I think you're spot on, you want to change a set of options and the current solution could be presets - if we convince Menion to make maps part of the system. I tried already, but he wasn't convinced.

Btw, do you know longtap mapscreen content button toggles previous/last map? This may help you a bit. I toggle between oam vector vs. offline satmap this way. Have never really noticed the unwanted map shading on satmaps.

Maybe there's a way to create a merger of offline satmap + overlay, idk

Report it as a bug? I think it's broken. Tried it on Tasker (tasks: { quick_bookmark : { action: "start", name: "Google" } }) - here the green toast does not even appear, nothing happens at all. Other stuff like setting profiles works.

Nein. Es geht genau das, was Du vorfindest 😁. Alles, was nicht geht und sinnvoll ist, kannst Du vorschlagen.
Technisch sicher nicht schwer. Aber Asamm sollte das KFZ-Routing eigentlich eher unattraktiv machen, damit es gar nicht erst versucht wird. Ist letztlich einfach nicht Kernkompetenz von Locus, da würde man ein Faß aufmachen.

Thanks Slarti for sharing. The largest ones could be even larger IMO. Eg that Google Maps pin, still like 40% of the dimension of the pin in Google Maps.
And that's only on hd.
Time to clean the icon folder from really bad lowres files.

I currently observe:

- Audio coach not reliably turned on or off. Coach seems to be eg. forgotten from the recent recording? Those are bound to recording profiles, which are activated via presets here. And those are activated via an intent here.

Edit: While recording and switching recording profiles, it does not change the currently running audio coach. I think it should.

- Navigation, "Next turn panel" style was reset to the big default size for whatever reason.

Anyone?
