In order to allow hiding of all embedded waypoints, you know it was possible in first new version of the map items panel (and now isn't), please can you consider this:

a) Include hiding embedded waypoints into "Hide points" from the context menu
b) Add "Hide tracks" and "Hide points" to the data manager context menu. Currently there's only "Hide all"

Actually a good idea. The brush icon could also turn red so the inexperienced user could see the connection here.

@Menion: The greyed out brush on points does not allow long click - but it should: to hide embedded waypoints. I was so happy I was able to hide them 2 versions ago. So it's possible.

See it as a sign of quality. The other side would be apps for sheeps, who eat what you feed them.

The secondary function, by the long click, is the temporary hide of all points/tracks.

I tested it, didn't even notice you implemented it. Tracks were out of sight, so there was no indication that something happened.
Now that's OK-ish for me. Maybe add an advanced option which inverts  it? Default=eye symbol and temp. hide?

OK, new update, same functionality points/tracks in map items, just no eye icon. NOOOOOOO. It feels wrong.

With a crash, better report to helpdesk. You can create a crashlog (see long click main Hamburger menu).

John, do you know why controlling pathText (e. g. along motorway paths) is more or less impossible? Also with use of repeat-gap?

What I see, also in your theme, sometimes there's many REFs displayed at one spot, sometimes you rarely find one. Maybe it's related to how the path has been painted?

I disagree. The eye symbols in Map Items offer quick, welcome, expected and convenient toggles and you removed the convenience. Which was finally usable and within good reach. "Nobody" 😁 uses longclick-hide.

And you removed the possibility to FINALLY hide embedded waypoints. My tracks are full of them, it helps for overview purposes.

Also there must be some kind of bug, I managed to show tracks and at the same time the top right "tracks hidden" symbol was shown.

Maybe you should use the term "My points" in the map items panel for more clarity (I mean the user poi in the database)

I want to temporarily hide tracks, this is now broken. I can't show them again after... hiding.

And what does it do? Hide: no? Rather unload I guess? This is not what is expected here. Here we need a quick show/hide toggle.
The counter of loaded tracks stays as is, after refresh ui it goes to 0.

The behaviour of prior version was perfect for me. A dialog window is wrong here.

Solution. Eye symbol: short tap = show/hide. Longtap: unload all. If none are loaded, bring up track manager.

Good reminder... I just used it once. I noticed it allows to display gpx files. It's weird and clunky to use. It does not tell that items are being displayed. And they can only be removed via "hide all".

Locus does not use a folder with gpx/kml while running. It works with a database. You can import and export tracks to/from it - manually.

I think most people want to go straight back to the map when changing a theme.

Not sure. But Maybe Menion could register the left area again for apply+goto map. Just like points/tracks.
