Would be nice if we could download older apk's to revert back.

It crashes now if I tap any of my 4 profiles.

Big problems with Fullscreen mode and various dialogs. I was not able to save changes (coloring) to an existing track, I was not able to move a track to another folder: Cancel and Save buttons to the bottom right were missing, and it was not a matter of swiping down.
Had to turn off fullscreen mode.

I have "Resize map" as part of all my profiles, which I love to use. It does not work. After I tap this setting, the window appears and says "Loading" endlessly. If it worked it would load that map preview and allow setting up the zoom.

Other features / Re: Locus on a bike computer!

Interesting device. Because basically I'm done with Garmin.
BTW, what a weird painting like theme is this?!

It has always been like that: When I use the "Favourites" function and call Google Maps (App!) with it and it transfers the map center position:

- Google Maps does center its map to the Locus Center position, but does not add its waypoint (that red balloon symbol). Is there something that can be done on Locus side?

Menion, it is a desire for me to thank you and the people involved super super much many mucho for the most important app on my smartphone :D You are such an important part of the outdoor scene. And still lots of potential customers, I hope. Because in the outdoor world there is so many people having no clue about smartphone navigation, it's weird. If I meet people using their smartphones for this, which is rare, they do it on very basic levels.

Beautiful theme! I agree, hiking trails should be bigger.

Under difficult conditions, I always have my Garmin Etrex with me. I mean, really, do I tell news?  a smartphone plus OS plus big app like Locus is a complex thing.

You may know the more precise LiDAR SRTM files which have a higher precision:
http://data.opendataportal.at/dataset/dtm-germany

Locus  store does also distribute SRTM files. My questions:

a) Does Locus distribute LiDAR (if available for region) or standard SRTM files?
b) Will it overwrite SRTM files?

I'm especially interested in b) because I have carefully placed all LiDAR SRTM files. It's no problem ti get them back, but maybe the store overwrites with low precision SRTM files and unnoticed by me.

TIA

I like your improvement to GPS, hope they work well. As for the startup screen, it may be funny for a moment, but not in the long run. I'd choose something more conservative.

As a more general thing, I wish for putting more love into a) POI and b) Statistics.

And not only statistics... There is/was that great Windows Application called "GPS Trackanalyse.net" which helped a lot not only in statistics, but also rebuilding of GPX files, minimize # of trackpoints etc. Since there is no really good application on Windows, Locus could fill the gap.

As for POI, they are still clunky to use. That scrolling and adding 100 thing, then show all on map, it is not really good. If we have already planned routes, we also only need POIs around the track. I think Menion you do not use POIs too much.

And as for another offline thing, Geonames  could also get some love. Auto download, help by the store, whatever. Currently we can use the text files from GNS server, but your naming convention is different to the files on the GNS server. http://geonames.nga.mil/gns/html/namefiles.html

Hallo Leute,

Was ist da los?

Danke

Quote from: menion on February 04, 2018, 10:48:20Fixed version 3.29.1 just uploaded to Google Play.
I was able to download Kompass maps (not worth it IMO, but hey) now, even though it was very slow.

- The world map is not used for Kompass maps, but it should, maybe it only works for maps under /mapsOffline?
- The search dialog of Locus store cannot be displayed on lockscreen
- In the history of bought items, there should be a link to the product page. When I had problems with Kompass maps, I always had to use search.

I bought the Kompass Sauerland map - download does not start. Edit: tried the other Sauerland map, now used 700 coins. What it does: I tap on "Download", progress bar appears for a short time, then download button appears again, nothing happened.

Hello,
ah ok, thank you for testing. To be true, I hoped to solve this with any extra settings anyway for now, I do not have better solution. New version is planned on Wednesday 9.
I just recognized the option, I hope it is a solution for Sony Z1, it often shows wrong directions on using hw compass. A weird behaviour.

I found, other communities had a hard time with this (and wow, what an amount of work):

Here is, I think, the logic they use now:
