- Now I need to confirm on exit, didn't have to before.
Settings/Expert settings/confirm on exit > switched of???
No - update must have toggled it.

- Falcos Tasker plugin is gone, I need to check that. I had a button in the toolbar.
- Now I need to confirm on exit, didn't have to before.
- Something changed in fullscreen mode. I once reported about nervous/vibrating windows - for the first time, the effect is gone it seems.

Longer battery life on track recording; what did you change?
Map legend. OMG. Needed so much, wasn't aware it has been discussed. Where can I find it in the App?

Quote from: menion on May 22, 2020, 14:11:31As I remember, some devices downloaded this Almanach over the web so the first cold start was a lot faster.
Isn't that the "Reset A-GPS" functionality (which does not speed up the process here)?
I checked with the app "com.chartcross.gpstest", same problem. It only displays GLONASS satellites btw.

Hi guys,

I am having an old Sony Z1 phone as backup. Phone is always off, but when I turn it on it hardly has a GPS fix. Not sure 100%, but it seems like it gets GPS fix super slowly, like "in 20 Minutes".

- It has no sim card
- wifi is on, "Reset A-GPS" works, I get a confirmation that it has been downloaded--- but does not help
- Google location services is set to high precision
- The Locus Satellites page mostly shows like 20 Satellites, but all red. It displays "0/20".

When the device was regularly in use there were no such problems. Any ideas?

EDIT: Now I'm looking like 5 minutes on it and it has 1/16 sats.

Thx

Menion, I have v4 themes in my presets and I use OAM maps. Cannot test again because currently rc beta is installed.

Quote from: Christian on May 16, 2020, 12:02:41Additional question: Is this a Android thing that the Android bottom bar disappears or is it triggered by Locus? The hidden bottom bar is the reason i have to use the Exit button. See above.
Isn't that related to fullscreen mode of Locus?

If a theme is selected by a preset, you cannot see which one is used if you visit the theme picker coming from map content panel.

I was thinking that maybe it should be allowed to define what to display in the map content panel. I never need geotag photos e. g., or active elements.

Map content panel, the top map/theme entry. While I understand the logic, another approach would be more convenient maybe.

A new row just for the theme. If you tap left, you could pick a theme. If you tap right, the properties of the currently selected theme would appear. Currently, I think, theme properties are too far away, but are important, need regular fiddling.
Another advantage would be, the chosen theme is displayed in that new row in the content panel.

Yeah, DIY and a decent Editor, I prefer Microsoft Visual Studio Code, an awesome editor, even many of my diehard Unix people at work like it.

Checked Lopoints in "Nearest points" panel. Shouldn't it be independent from "Show on map" option in Lopoints window? Otherwise people will need support.
I'm glad you put some work into the POI system.

It's great that you put Locus specific track information into the gpx xml format.

Lopoints, it's a beginning. I hope there will be reworks to the Lopoints window (scroll, scroll, 100, scroll scroll scroll, 200... just saying) 😊

Very good that Locus keeps the corupt db and names it accordingly.

I'm a backup junkie, so, cases of loss became increasingly rare over the last decades. The backup road is full of learning by pain.  ;D Most nasty thing is to realize after loss and after years, that you didn't include something important in the backup. Well, this is offtopic.

Wow, thx John, that's the way it's probably meant to be done, totally forgot about that. It's working just fine.
