If the bottom panel is hidden, then the main menu could move further down. And at the same time the map content panel too.

Same here. But: some phones have rounded corners. Stuff in the corners is not displayed there. It's the case on my mate 20 X. Plus, there's many "long" phones with hd+ resolution. mine iis 1080*2244. So vertically there's enough space. The current state is rather optimal for my device.

It should already work in this Beta version if I remember correctly.

Was that in reply to my remark about having the same extra values below the two-finger-measurement-line as we now have in the "Cursor to position"-line? Because in the current beta (4.0.0-Beta1), that is not the case, the two-finger-measure-line only has a distance on top of the line.

Search options, mine has angle as well.

It is a change in the centering button: now center or not. It is the exact same action as when you tap on the big centering button.

I see, so just a one-shot action. I think for a preset "Hold map center" would be more useful. I hope you'll add it.

"Hold map center" is not applied by presets.

I remember the width of the sidebar has been discussed. I also like the LM3 size better. IIRC Menion said it will stay as it is. Personally not an issue for me, I have all stuff I need on it... and I have the right sidebar usually hidden.
The oppossite problem would apply for me: more room for icons would leave an ugly gap because the sidebar ends with the last icon. Which is rather unusual.

interesting idea! ... hmm, isn't there missing the "Set custom GPS position" feature from Locus Map Pro? It depends on how much is this feature usable and if "toggle" should replace it.

I don't know the 2nd function either. Since nobody has missed them yet, I think very few use them. I think it's good to switch automatically with a long click.
If somebody wants the function at some point, we'll find a solution.

Menion has implemented it, thx. Personally I'd prefer a green toast msg here instead of the vibration.
Shouldn't it also toggle to that center lock state, if the map is currently dragged somewhere else? Except vibrating, it does nothing in that case.
Also I am thinking, the lock icon is not clearly understandable. As for that center icon - Maybe the outer ring should have 4 small, to the center showing arrows. Or alternatively, the letter A (for auto center) could be easier to understand. If I see a lock icon, rather "you can do nothing here" comes to mind, not "the map will auto center every couple of seconds". Just thoughts.

Tbh, I have no clue about that option, never used it. In LM3 and vertical view, it's not possible to tell what it is about... btw.

As for the map center button. "Hold map" is the only menu option on longtap. A submenu with just one entry feels wrong. I think it would feel very right, if after longtap it toggles the hold state.

That's the manual downloading, but I was expecting to find settings for the background service.
Also, I do not see segment download in the route planner.

In Lopoints(beta) the checkbox "Show on map" imo has no effect and is not needed any more.

I cannot find the setting for background brouter routing files download, where is it? Anyone?
I am using "Brouter (inner)" (sounds weird, should be "internal").

In order to have planned routes on the device, will this need a full sync? I have not much need in uploading all of my stuff, just some folders... I.e., I'm still interested in a black/whitelist mechanism for syncing.

Now that so many buttons can be added to the main menu (settings > controlling > panels > # rows), it would be very useful that buttons could be dragged to change positions. The only way to swap positions at present is to assign an unused (temporary) function to button1, then reassign button2, then reassign button1. Tedious.

? They can be dragged and it's not new...
