No I'm saying it could use the maps current zoom level (and map position) for its priority decisions. But well, they may already do that.

Maybe zoom level as an indicator of users scope wish? Zoom level low: User likely wants to find "New York City" in the US. ZL high: wants to find the local "NYC brothel".

What about then at least adding support for PlusCode? That can be copied from Maps with one tap and surely be parsed by Locus search without ambiguity?!

You may be interested in my Pluscode<->Latlon converter. Supports both types of Pluscode. Works locally, except Pluscode with city name needs a www lookup.

You have to change encoding to utf8 before saving. It's under the triple dot menu on the top right.
I think your situation is probably recoverable

Edit2: Set "default encoding" to utf8 in settings, instead of auto detect. Works.

I've added emojis to the latest release.

If anyone has experience with emoji representation in text files, I'm all ears. Quickedit+ now slaughtered it after I included them. It picked Windows-1252 encoding and now see screenshots...

Latest Google Maps. No improvement with Share to LM4. Exactly the same poor behavior.

But in the other thread they said it's fixed - new version just isn't out yet.

I've created another icon for watering_place.

I allowed turning off roads and railways . So we can exclusively display whatever we wish. Why? Analysis purposes maybe. Or because we can! See screenshot with only railway and only hiking/cycling routes.

Changes are uploaded, but not in the release yet.

I've seen those occurences with cycleways close to railways, and the cycleways disappearing behind railways at lower ZL. Not much we can do here I guess. Except maybe allowing to hide railways.
It was in all themes I tried.
Please provide a position, for testing...

And please have the search parse latlon and Pluscode. I can even do that with Tasker.

I believe that color under the "brush" icon is not necessary here. You are usually not toggling visibility on/off here. So it will only confuse (at least me) that something is enabled even if I do not want it.

I understand brush and eye symbol are technically not the same, but the blue color indicates, something is turned on (or tracks/points are on) or not. IMO blue tint helps to instantly spot what's going on.

Route planner, embedded waypoints: it does that on ANY profile. Internal, external...any. One is attached.

Download latest xml https://github.com/tortuosit/oam_theme_tapiola/blob/main/Tapiola.xml and replace the one in the zip. Quick and dirty fix. Idk why at some point it doubles the icon.

Interesting. It's because themes include k="man_made" v="water_well". But not what you noticed: k="amenity" v="watering_place".

Personally, I don't want to see the shaping points on map. It has always been like this. They're just a technical necessity to build a track.

Suggestion: Blue background also for points and tracks, if at least one is shown. White if 0 or temp. hidden. Helps orienteering of the eye.

Transparency helps here. Unfortunately, the colors are then no longer as strong

How about only displaying the pattern, e. g. arrows? This is what I do.  Arrows in slope colour.

Yes. But just in this case - must have been related to the prior search. But I wasn't able to reproduce. So it seems rare.

Do you plan to add "cubic" to the rivers as you did with the streams?

Tendency is: No. But I am not sure about the consequences. I think there may be footways/cycleways close to rivers, which then aren't aligned perfectly, or worse, get hidden below the river.

EDIT: A clear no. Author of Voluntary theme will undo such changes for rivers. Non-connected parts may happen, or bridges at the wrong place.
