I use free version of Bluestack and it works great with the sharefolder.

Hi Sorry for late response. I'll think about adding English version. Glad to hear you like it.

Troubles & Questions / Crashes with overlay
April 24, 2015, 12:40:52
Hi,
I get crashes when activating an overlay that I have generated in Maperitive (mbtiles). It contains bicycle routes of my region (colour coded). I use vector map as base map. Crash happends when I move map. I'm on Xperia S with Lolipop 5.1. Thanks :)

I have abandoned creating styles for Locus and started working with Tilemill and Leaflet a little. I'm currently working on an overlay with bicycle and hiking routes and cycleways for my region (Pomorskie voivodship).
If you would like to check here is test version (very slow and buggy but works).

Hi,
The only problem I noticed is that cycle theme shows only cycleways. In my region many cycleway are tagged as paths with tag bicycle=designated or bicycle=official. Maybe you could add that? :)

Never had any problems with Locus. I've been using it for over a year now, and track recording is always stable and solid. So I wouldn't say that using mobile is risky, especially when you have ultra stable software like Locus.

I made a test with my Xperia S + Power Bank PQI 7800 mah.
Screen was ON all the time, track recording on (I wasn't moving so maybe it would drain faster) 2G on, Data off, Wifi off. Screen brightness was set to 60%. I'm using offline maps. I got 13 hours of life after that power bank drained out. I still had 100% of battery phone so I could probably get another hour. With the screen off I would probably get few days without a charger (need to make test as well).

In this case I decided not to buy anything :) That's enough for me. I have power bank in a bag on my steering wheel with a cable to my Topeak phone holder on steering wheel. It's very easy to unplug a cable and take the phone with you when you go shopping for example.

Other features / Re: Question about compass
April 01, 2015, 16:36:55
Sorry for late response. The problem only shows up when stopping. When moving, direction is usually showed correctly. I noticed it happends mostly in urbanized area with lot of magnetic interferences. When in woods or out of town direction doesn't go crazy. I think about feature suggestion that would work like this : When your speed goes higher then defined value  then rotation should work. When slowing down to defined speed the direction should freeze in the last known direction unless the map is moved manually with the finger. That would eliminate the problem with interferences. This option could be tickable, I guess not everyone likes it :) I hope developers will think about it. It's really annoying when I cycle and want to check the map and the map is pointed in random direction.
I tried many options and I can't eliminate this problem.

Hi,
I was wondering if this setup will save my smartphone battery. I want to buy GPS Receiver that will be powered from my 7800mah PowerBank and communicate with the smartphone over bluetooth. Will this be a battery saver for smartphone? Did anyone use this kind of setup or similar? Any suggestions for GPS device? Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I was wondering if that would be possible to eliminate this awful line join?
I know it's a cosmetic issue but maybe? :)

@Wojtas82
Sorry this is tricky part we didn't solve yet (at least as I can remember). OSM ways are cropped  in Mapsforge format into MetaTiles and we're not able to link the same way on two metatiles. For this reason is complicated to compute the "gap" along specific way.  Do you know if MapsForge 0.4v enables such rules?

Hi
I think these are the attributes supported.
        <xs:complexType name="symbol">
                <xs:attribute name="id" type="xs:string" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="cat" type="xs:string" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="priority" type="xs:integer" use="optional" default="0"/>
                <xs:attribute name="src" type="tns:src" use="required" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-scaling" type="tns:scaling" use="optional" default="default"/>
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-width" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-height" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-percent" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
    </xs:complexType>

I can't see dy here.
I would use "lineSymbol" but in Locus the icons keep rotating along ways.
That attribute "rotate" would probably solve this problem? Not sure...
        <xs:complexType name="lineSymbol">
                <xs:attribute name="cat" type="xs:string" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="dy" type="xs:float" use="optional" default="0" />
                <xs:attribute name="src" type="tns:src" use="required" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-scaling" type="tns:scaling" use="optional" default="default"/>
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-width" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-height" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="symbol-percent" type="xs:positiveInteger" use="optional" />
                <xs:attribute name="align-center" type="xs:boolean" use="optional" default="false" />
                <xs:attribute name="priority" type="xs:integer" use="optional" default="0"/>
                <xs:attribute name="repeat" type="xs:boolean" use="optional" default="false" />
                <xs:attribute name="repeat-gap" type="xs:float" use="optional" default="200" />
                <xs:attribute name="repeat-start" type="xs:float" use="optional" default="30" />
                <xs:attribute name="rotate" type="xs:boolean" use="optional" default="true" />
        </xs:complexType>
