interesting. Added, enabled all found layers, left 3857 CRS and it works well. Hmm maybe you may try to delete Locus/cache directory, just for sure, there aren't any cached tiles from the old version.

Das wurde nie so gesagt. Man bezahlt doch nicht den intergierten Brouter als "kostenpflichtiges Feature". Das scheinen mehrere Leute so verstanden zu haben. Es wird halt EIN Bestandteil der App sein.
Im Übrigen könnte es auch sein, dass Asamm die Brouter-Routingdaten auf eigenen Servern berechnen will (ähnlich wie die LoMaps), um Arndt's Server (zumindest bezüglich Traffic) zu entlasten. Das ist dann definitiv nicht mehr kostenlos möglich und wäre beim Abo-Modell mit abgedeckt.

Aber da wir das alles nicht so genau wissen, sollten wir erstmal die Bälle flach halten ;-)

yes please. If any WMS does now work correctly (please check if any change in defined CRS has an effect), provide me Url to test.

Please try if "https://geodienste.sachsen.de/wms_geosn_flurstuecke/guest?" (parcel info of saxony) displays anything for you. I see nothing regardless of the CRS (did not test all, but many).
However, the data query button seems to work...

Should this problem be fixed in current beta? Because I still have problems with some WMS maps.
If beta should be fixed already, I should provide a WMS URL to reproduce it...

Could you please shortly state what the differences between the RT3/RT4/RT5 themes are? I first assumed the are meant for v3/v4/v5 maps, respectively, but there seem to be more optical changes between for example RT4 and RT5.
So is RT5 simply the newer one to be used in the future (with new map core?)?

I stumbled upon the new Quick Action Menu.

It's already in Pro, just not the menu item. You can only fire it up via API/public intend in current Pro.

Es geht da hauptsächlich um die Einrichtung und Konfiguration von Brouter und Locus, was ja für einen Laien zur Zeit wirklich nicht ganz ohne ist.

Was ist da schwierig? Du kennst nicht das Herumgewürge, wenn Du Osmand und Brouter nutzt.

Ich selbst finde es auch nicht so schwierig (ich habe allerdings seit 4 Jahren dieselbe Konfiguration auf meinem Phone), ich erinnere mich aber z.B. an rumgebastel mit der storageconfig.
Ich habe die Einrichtung auch vor einiger Zeit schonmal Usern im mtb-news Forum erklärt, die hatten das nicht so ohne weiteres hinbekommen.

Ich denke Arndt ist prinzipiell gar nicht so abgeneigt, so etwas zu ermöglichen. Natürlich wird sich Menion dazu direkt mit Ihm in Kontakt setzen und nicht einfach irgendwas integrieren (was zur Zeit lizenzrechtlich wahrscheinlich sowieso nicht möglich wäre).

Wobei mich schon wundert, das Menion wegen technischer Details zur Routenkalkulation nicht Arndt nicht direkt fragt, sondern in  googlegroups nachfragt.

Vermutlich, damit andere auch was davon haben? Es hilft keinem, wenn hinter verschlossenen Türen rumdiskutiert wird.

Ich finde die Abo-Variante im übrigen in Ordnung, gefühlt bekommt das Locus-Team zur Zeit viel zu wenig für die gebotenen Leistungen. Gerade dass vor allem Menion sich immer noch so viel Zeit für Forum und Helpdesk nimmt, ist nicht selbstverständlich! Teilweise behebt er sogar Bugs am Wochenende oder spät abends. Dafür zahle ich gerne 1-2€ pro Monat.

Sehe ich mittlerweile etwas anders. Ist aber eigentlich eher das Thema, die Entwickler klagen immer, wie wenig Geld für ihre Arbeit bekommen.  Das gilt aber auch für die Osmandleute. Wenn man die Sachen nicht zu Ende denkt und sauber programmiert, dann artet das in Arbeit aus.

Soweit ich weiß ist OSMand ein Opensource-Projekt. Das ist schon nicht mehr so einfach vergleichbar. Die meisten OSMAnd-Entwickler machen das wahrscheinlich in ihrer Freizeit.

Ich hätte kein Problem 50 Euro für eine App zu zahlen, wenn ich dafür nicht ewig Fehlerreporte schreiben müsste und dann die Reparaturen mehrmals nachgefixt werden müssten.

Also wenn ich überlege, was ich an Zeit reingesteckt habe, damit Menion kapiert hat, was für Daten googlemaps mit Locus austauscht, damit der Austausch zwischen den beiden Apps sinnvoll funktioniert. Aber bei Victor von Osmand habe ich mich auch schon gewundert, was ich ihm alles testen sollte, damit eine Funktion läuft.

Ab und zu frage ich mich, ob man Appentwickler wird, weil einem nichts anderes übrigbleibt.

Es ist für so eine kleine Bude (oder eben Opensource-Projekt) teilweise einfach nicht möglich, alle Sachen vollständig zu testen. Noch dazu ist die Android-Welt derart divers, dass man einfach nicht alles Testen kann. Da gibt es nicht nur X verschiedene Android-Versionen (großteils mit herstellerspezifischen Anpassungen), sondern auch noch X verschiedene Hardware, auf denen das läuft. Also ich würde da keinen Support leisten wollen ;-)

Sehr gespannt bin ich auf die Reaktion von Arndt Brenschede darauf, dass sein Projekt "BRouter" nun von einem Drittanbieter als integriertes, kostenpflichtiges Feature vermarktet werden soll.

I dicovered that 3.37.2.6 seems not be able to display WMS maps!? Maybe it's just the map I tried, but current pro displays it just fine (although with very tiny text). Is this to be expected in the Alpha or is it a bug?

Therefore, my question again: is it intended that you get to chose the theme you want to change (base or overlay map) if a vector map is overlayed with a vector map?
In current pro, you can only change the theme of the base map and no crash happens.

right, autoloading works this way. First selected map is something like "base map" and all other "autoloaded maps"  are just added into some kind of inner container. So you will still see first selected map. Which, as I though about it, is correct ... highlighted and also restored after restart, is still the map you selected.

Ok, understand. I just recognized that the behavier is different to the current version.

Two vector maps at once as overlay: do not expect too much from it. If both maps will be V3 or V4, they use same single instance of map theme so cannot choose different themes for them. Anyway I do not get any crash so I'll need a log here, thanks.

I don't know if this is useful, either...just played around a bit because you wrote nearly all combinations are possible now.
When I did this and wanted to change theme, I got a selection what theme to change (see screenshot). However, in both cases, Locus crashes. Is it intended to have this selection or should it be removed and only offer theme change of base map (as it is in current version)?

I now also tested online raster maps with alpha and it is a huge improvement! Nicely readable now!

As I already wrote as a comment to the blogpost: I would be happy to pay for an abo to support the great work of the Locus developers.
At the moment I pay for updated LoMaps from time to time to get new version of the POIs (to use with OAM-Maps). I always felt a bit guilty for not spending more to support the developers.

In the german thread some fear that Brouter offline routing will be only available builtin in the abo version of Locus 4.0. Are there any plans yet how Brouter will be supported? Only builtin or will it also be possible to call external Brouter app as it is implemented in current version?

I also gave the alpha a try...

Automatic Map switching works for v4-Maps now - nice! However, the map which was switched to is neither displayed in top bar maps display, nor in maps manager. There's always displayed the originally selected map.

Another thing: if I configure a vector map as an overly of another (or the same) vector map, the theme switcher shows a selection of which map's theme to change (nice!), but Locus crashes if I tap either of them.

Overall, great progress! I definitely think it's the right way to go, especially with the dpi-independend maps display!

Beta 3.36.2.9 crashes upon application termination. An interesting problem. Beta works seamlessly. But after closing the application with the Back button, an application termination error message will shortly be missed. Tested on Android 5 and 8. I tried sending an error message.

Beta 3.36.2.9 havaruje po ukončení aplikace. Zajímavý problém. Beta bez problémů funguje. Ale po zavření aplikace tlačítkem Zpět krátce problikne chybové hlášení o ukončení aplikace. Testováno na Androidu 5 a 8. Zkusil jsem odeslat chybové hlášení.

Also confirmed on Android 5.1.1!
