  i don't know I also don't know this map format. You have to find any way ho to get raster images into png files or database. Structure of database and tar files is simple. Just create some map in locus and examine.

Still not but I was thinking about it. How should this solve during import. When I'll test identical points by name and coordinates, coordinate can change also. I'm still not sure how to do this. I also cannot test this by GC code because this code is stored deeper in database and this will be very slow to test it. So what you think?

Test and show points as identical when have same name and distance is up to 1km for example? Or give there any possibility as "Add to database anyway"? But then you'll have to choose manually which rewrite and which add ... what you think?

zdravím, ano vypíná se automaticky pokud není zaplý záznam trasy nebo navádění na bod (případně kompas). To druhé se dá nastavit v nastavení aplikace. Ovlivnit se to nedá, vypne se prostě hned jak se locus shodí (tzn. vypne se displej nebo se shodí tlačítkem home na plochu). V nastavení času nevidím žádný význam ...

hmm but i don't changed calling of navigation for a looong time so it have to be some changes in Navit, not in Locus

i can call some universal intent to system which lunch navigation but I need some documentation how to start navigation like navit and similar. I don't see something like this on their pages

I will start off by saying a few things.... I push the limits of this application every single day and it has amazed me more than any application I have come across. This is true for me because I probably use the application a little different than most do and use it more than most do. I run this application anywhere from 5-12 hours a day and it has helped me in so many ways that i could not put a list out long enough. I also use a Garmin GPS device but it has its limitations (alot of them) and also if you have not seen this application in acton on a Galaxy Tab then you are missing out...LOL. This whole application has provided me with a tool that is extremely useful and I thank you for the time and effort you put into it. And also listening to the users and adding in their ideas and i must say also doing it very quickly. So thanks again 10 stars for you my friend.

One more Idea from me. How about adding in a real time tracking addon...Lets say I have Locus and a friend has Locus and we can connect our two devices via cell network and if I am at home my friend can go out and I can see everywher he goes. Using a cell network allow it only to maybe send a burst signal to my phone providing the coordinates of the device that is out and moving.(so basically i can have Locus turned on and watch another device move along the map) And being able to set up how often it updates the moving position with other contacts of your choice within Locus. It would basically be like a 2 way beacon tracking system where I can see and watch where my friend is going and he can see my location as well.)  Maybe using the cell network one Locus application can take the coordinates and constantly burst send them to another Locus user and then Locus applies those coordinates and shows the location on the map, and continously updating every few seconds or so. Is something like this possible? Even if this hinders cell phone usage while Locus is on your while something like this is running I think it would be pretty useful.

about idea ... sound interesting and cute but it really needs server part, not just a client in android. If exist any server this should be really easy. Just send periodically data on server and periodically request for persons around me. As berkley said, isn't this similar to google latitude (I don't use it)?

All maps well tested, so old maps should work well after first init. Hope that no one have now no problem with map visibility! This is RC before release. Difference is only that this version have enabled AR in menu and My Maps and also is disabled advertisement which will be enabled in market version.

• import of geocache into old category (anyway better is to create new now)

• when I'm updating SQLite map database, I did second update! Now map contain information about center in database. This is created also during initialization. You can also set center manually by long click on offline SQL map. I think this is handy feature, what you think?

Hi, now come a little changes. I have finally all what I need to sell on market. I have this prepared for a long time but now it come to be true. Locus is separating into two branches.

I really hate to take back something what I gave, so all features that are actually in Locus will remain in free version too!!! Only difference will be advertisement in free version. New features that are something like bonus (so not really necessary to full work of app) will be usually created in two versions. First is Augmented reality addon. It will work in both, only in free will be killed after one minute of usage.

Also will be easier for you to test new versions. Pro version will be updated slowly and only well tested. All new features will be first tested on free version. You can have installed both at same time, they have different signature, but will work with same data on SD card of course.

I'll write about it something more later.

And one think. I have not tested this all yet and it's my first payed app on market, but I really want to add this payed version for free to those who help me a lot with work on locus here on forum as well as with translation and more, so if I'll not be able to refund money on market back to you, count that I'll send you directly on bank account or paypal!! We'll talk about this later

So news finally ..

Important!! - database for points and maps has changed. So beforu update, backup rather whole Locus directory. I tested it really long but rather. Also count then when you use new version, database will change and it will not work well if you return back to old Locus version. So really rather backup whole Locus directory. You can then revert this dir as well as version to older if you want. Also when any problem, something do not work as before. Write me immediately!!

NEWS: new version with fixed support for MOBAC maps.

• re-writted handling of sqlite map files. Now all intializing things are stored in SQLite map file. So if you create map in Locus, initialization of 2GB map, takes cca 1sec . (already created maps need reinit). Initialization of external map is long same as actually. Anyway, when you delete cache directory, init values will be still stored in your SQLite map file, so init for second time will be fast!
• fixed problems with Yandex map (online/offline too!!). For offline, Yandex maps have to be created with new locus version. Old will not work. If you have downloaded big SQlite map and don't want to download all new, I can write description how to convert this, but count that this is not so simple
• new way how to import duplicate data points. Now are geocaching data tested on GC code, normal points then on name
• some other small tweaks and fixs

1. u offline je to stejný problém jako u online. Oblast offline map uložených v SQL databázi ma 100% pokrytí světa jako u offline a data v ní uložená prostě nemusí být obdélník jako tomu bylo u ozi map. Pokud se chceš přenést nad nhějakou mapu, podrž nad ní prst ale jinak nějaká filtrace zda je nebo není v dané lokalitě možná zatím nebude. Řešení mě každopádně napadá, takže časem promyslím

2. od kříže se ukazuje pokud v applikaci vypneš GPS. Pokud ji máš zapnutou, předpokládá se že chceš vzdálenost od aktuální polohy!

7. jo to zní jako šikovný nápad. Každopádně pro mě je největší zdržování ukládání zda je daný bod zorbazený či ne. Pokud vyřeším tohle nějak, tak se dá uvažovat o dalších optimalizacích

8. u online map nemůžu načítat něco co uživatel třeba ani nebude chtít. U offline myslím že jsou rychlé dost. A kdo ví co tam vše vyvádím

a píšou že může podporovat i href oodkaz na lokální soubor takže pokud někde najdeš příklad jak to má vypadat, tak to můžu zkusit zaintegrovat. Ohledně toho GPX, tak pokud to není nějaké validní, tak to spíše dodělávat nebudu než budu ...
