oki fine, so download 0.9.28.3 version and try it. Best is if you send me log from some software because as I know, in adb you cannot save whole stream of text. Anyway run version and you should see something like

03-14 16:07:26.625: DEBUG/FileSystem(22282): createRoot - card:/mnt/sdcard/, external:null
03-14 16:07:26.625: INFO/FileSystem(22282): setRootDirectory(/mnt/sdcard/, /mnt/sdcard/Locus/)
03-14 16:07:26.625: DEBUG/FileSystem(22282): setRootDirectory() - success!
03-14 16:07:26.625: WARN/CustomMain(22282): FileSystem succesfully created!

this is what I see ...

hmm so you moved more then 100m and no point saved? Weird, have to check. And I also founded bug in 0.9.28.2 with import of points. Sorry fix soon :)
#13458
hmm weird, just quick question .. don't you have phone connected as mass storage right? Did any other software do this to you?

I can create for you some debug version. Are you familiar with logcat? maybe aLogcat program from market or similar should be handy.

Information / Re: [TRANSLATION]
March 14, 2011, 15:13:52
Hi guys,
today I uploaded one updated file ... about cca 20 new words, so if you have a little time, would be nice to have Locus completely translated ;)
#13460
hmm where Locus place data and create it's root when start? There is no fix directory in Locus. I just ask system for external place (disk, internal memory) and into this I place data. Anyway there is actually no chance to change default directory in Locus. There was no need for this and hope that this will remain ...
#13461
fine, I'm sorry, there were mistake with maps from mobac. So please reload backup but remain it safe. Second times it have to work (i'm not using mobac so don't know about this issue).
#13462
ah problem founded thanks to scinkk, thanks. Hope that you have maps backup ready, you'll need it :)
#13463
hmm interesting. so one think. May you backup you Locus directory (rather) and try today version from forum. I did some fix there. You can also say me then if all maps and points work correctly :)
#13464
this is really happen everytime to you? With market version or this testing on forum? Hmm looks like another weird problem today. For me all works fine ...

May you try if after killing locus with some task manager?

Troubles & Questions / Re: Geocaching issues

I wrote "I also cannot test this by GC code because this code is stored deeper in database " ...

nevermind, I rewrote database a little and now this should work ...

hmm is there any dependence like maps from locus are there and from mobac no, or big no, small yes? Weird ...
#13467
so,
 - are x/y/z corresponding to MERCARTOR Google-like projection ?????? (as depicted here: http://www.maptiler.org/google-maps-coo ... rojection/)
yes. Only z in database is a little weird. I think it's "17 - z", so zoom 0 on Gmaps == 17 in database

- what is the meaning of "s" in "tiles" ?
I don't know too, so I'm using it for storing day since 1.1.2011 (for some future map updates)

- in "android_metada" : locale = "fr_FR" (only one record)
It's created automatically by system

- "info" is empty ????
was, since today version isn't. Contain provider index (from which map is created) and zooms in String separated with ";"

- I have not found tared files on my sdcard ... is the description similar ?
similar? hmm create TAR map and look. How to? On screen where are you selecting zooms to download, change type by middle bottom button

SQLite format I'm using is taken from RMaps and Backcountry nav application or any of them. I did this to remain "compatible". Anyway I actually updated info table, but i'm sure it will not have any impact on other software using map from Locus
#13468
every description that should be useful to any other user, is more then welcome!
#13469
There is no need for some complex reverse engineering. Just create small SQLite map in locus, download SQLite Database Browser software and look how this database looklike. With TAR format it's even simplier. It's just compressed tar file that containt images 256x256px big and one xml file with parametres.

so new version for testing. Please read information before update. Some reply are welcome, what you think and so on ... thanks guys ;)
