Troubles & Questions / Re: Přihlášení geocaching
February 20, 2011, 14:34:08

Hi,
interesting. You're trying to look with online maps on some place and no map load (or just part)? May you please send me location on map of this problem? (hold finger and tap on popup window and you'll see coordinates).

I'm not sure if enabling and disabling gps is good idea. It takes some time to get valid location etc..

First, please try anyone battery consumption with settings actually created to new Locus version with for example 0sec and 60sec time interval. Exist any simple application that should measure power consumption of simple application? I'm not experienced with this.

If this solution will not be usable, I'll then try to think about something similar to My Tracks. Anyway, you can now see My Tracks map on map, did you noticed this? :) (but not the one actually recording with refresh)

exactly, I'm trying to have same behavior like this. Thanks, I'll fix this ....

OK, in new version is new settings for GPS. You can now set time interval between GPS updates. When I set 60s, it really send by my test, location only every 60s (against normal updates every sec). Question is, wheather GPS is sleeping during that time and if this can improve battery or not. If anyone try or have any comparison, wrote here, I'm sure, it'll be welcome by all ...

oki,
I created method to move to map "center". It have to be done on user request, not automatically as on TAR maps. So I added this ability to long click on map. Uff. Anyway this is not exact map center. It is calculated as center from first 100 images in lowest zoom. I hope this will work OK. Only problem should be, if you have two separate locations in one file ... hmm better then nothing :)

Hi,
if you mean just searching for address, you should try function Menu -> Tools -> Move map. You shoudl try to write there not even address. For "airport london" I received some location too :)

added (enable in settings) into new version ...
#13465
yes, this could be, but I'm not sure if this has any influence on battery consumption. Anyway, I can also add this into Locus and if anyone do some test, it could be fine ...
#13466
thanks, fixed, now always show altitude in ft ...

Implemented / Re: Attaching a photo to a POI
February 17, 2011, 14:18:37
I agree, but one question. I actually use attaching photo in parking service. I believe that this work fine, anyway I already taken picture save into locus/cache directory. What about attaching photo to POI? Also save them to separate directory? For example to Locus/data/photo? Or leave them in default system directory?

hi johny,
  thanks for nice words.

paid version. My first idea was that in paid version will be My Maps editor and some functions will be limited in free. But my heart is soft and I want to let all be free. But fortunately I'm realist a little so when paid version come out, only disadvantage on free will be permanent advertisement. Later I'll add some more benefits to payed. On other side, I plan low cost for payed version, so you can't expect much benefits ;)

about your problem. It's not on chair, it's in Locus. On old TAR maps, centering was possible but SQLite maps do not have defined area where is map stored so centering is not possible. I'm not sure how to do it. Should help something like "when you long click on map, you'll see dialog with "move on", "delete" (already there). And when you press "move on", map move on predefined location. If you have no predefined location, you'll be asked to define.

Hmm I'm still not sure ... but I'll have to do something with this, that's sure

may you send me any example file you want to import and some description of how would you like to look your imported data in application? Because, I don't exactly understand!
