hmm, "actual" news are here ... http://locus.asamm.cz/?page_id=29

about translation, Locus is already in Czech, English, Korean. Slovak users unfortunately see Locus in English. one guy is already trying to translate into slovak, but it will take a time. if you know anyone who would sacrifice some time to slovak translate, it's welcome

Hi,
no you're not missing anything. I thought that this feature no one use, so I don't get too much time to it, to create it perfect. So, you told that switching works fine, OK, so I added at least this:
when you select "Guide on" .. guiding will be enabled on nearest point on track from you.

From you mean: When you have enabled GPS, it's you location, if not, it's center cross.

Try and let me know if need any improvements.

hmm, I noticed some negative ratings on market but after almost hour of testing I cannot find any problem. Maybe it's any bug on A1.6? Did anyone have any starting issue? Please send me log from logcat Locus/logs directory (if contain any)! Thanks guys ...

8.3.2011 - Locus 0.9.26.5
Release candidate for tomorrow ...
  • probably finally fixed "White dead"!!!
  • another tweaks like: better selection of points in "Points screen", "Clear cache" button in settings, separated settings for speed, altitude and length units, many small improvements on track recording (top panel info, notification info), added NearMap (Australia), ... and bunch of fixs!

7.3.2011 - Locus 0.9.26.4
  • fixed crash after map download
  • next big improvements to track record. now more battery efficient, also you can continue when app crash or battery is out or whatever ...
  • improved a little satellite screen
  • fixed some importing problems and also increased importing speed ;)
  • another fix to MGRS coordinate system
  • updated all languages from crowdin
  • many few small improvements as usual ..

6.3.2011 - Locus 0.9.26.3, AR 0.0.2
Another bigger update.
  • fixed problem with AR plugin on A2.1. hope ... so?
  • rapidly rewrote big part of AR, new design. Count that plus/minus buttons not work! ;)
  • completely new menu under Locus title on map screen. Just tap on Locus
  • completely rewrote track recording part.
  • new info button on track recording panel, that show actual track recording starts (without refresh, just in time of press) ... hmm?
  • added German translation
  • added Portuguese translation
  • added partial Swedish, Dutch and Slovak translation

4.3.2011 - Locus 0.9.26.1, Contacts 1.1.1, AR 0.0.1
So, this is bigger update. A discovered possibility to add some permission request into own library. This is reason for new contact addon version. Otherwise there is no need to update this addon, or anyone have any "Contact" request? When you install this addon and then Locus itself, you should now see permission request also on this addon. Same is with Augmented reality addon. I want to prevent of usage by another 3rd party app without you knowing.

And please. I know about any problems on Galaxy TAB and Track recording which I want fix. But when you discover any other, create new topic in Troubles section and help me fix this. Thanks

  • new Augmented reality addon - first try
  • improved NMEA record. Check settings
  • when you click on track - guide on, guiding will start on nearest point

3.3.2011 - Locus 0.9.25
  • new version released on market, testing version with My Maps and AR (maybe) come tomorrow... (if you install app from market and you used previously testing version and have My Maps or AR button on right panel, crash is not a bug in app, just missing permissions. Wait for next testing version)
#13281
there is actually no way how to do this. In this topic we discuss about developing such a tool ...

ah, my mistake, I'll fix this ..

anyway, question on you is mainly if this system is usable. It's easist what I can do. I can add some setting also but this at least for me looks good ... :)
#13283
Hmm I didn't noticed this. Try to convert source ozi files if you have them. There also can be problem in image cutter :) If so, send me please some small map and I'll try to fix this ...

Quote from: "ykf"I never worked on sqlite, and after I go though the usage of it, it seems that if you have a zoom level which across several db files, you need to have multiple connections to query for that zoom level and consolidate the result sets together. This is not very efficient is it? Is there any chance to split db files based on x instead of z? This of course depends on your querying needs on Locus, I dunno how you query the files of course

Btw, I'm looking at the MOBAC source code and seems I can add a new atlascreator impl, although I guess MOBAC authors will not be too happy on that because I saw them rejecting your new format requests on their forum...

Hmm, i don't think is unefficient to hold more connections at once. As wrote mmcyclo, there is no speed issue with actual system and I don't see reason, why this should be wrong. But I'm not and database expert. Anyway, splitting by Z (zoom) looks for me as best idea, and also easier to implement.

About MOBAC, yes I looked at this also but they, as you read, do not agree with adding support for big maps, so it's up on us :)

Anyway, nice photos on homepage ykf ;)

mmcyclo: I don't know exact value. It's question on any experienced Linux user who know limitations of this platform. But I expect limit at 2 147 483 648b ;)

Oki, try converter. It works for my old Ozi Maps. I don't know if anyone use it but I founded useful to upload my work here ..

about arcgis format. May you send me some very little file? I want to look at it how it looks. Thanks ...

No, unfortunately it's not possible. App identification for android system is core package and it have to be still same, so you cannot have two same versions installed on same phone as I know. Anyway, when you have any problems with beta, there is no problem to delete and download new from market hmm?

Hi,
hmm you can use raster images in same way as I use TAR files. When you have any raster image and some identical points (points in some coordinates system and pixel system of map) you can use this method to get them into application viewtopic.php?f=21&t=3

it's not much user friendly, I know. But it was still not a priority.

Shape files, I don't know anything about them. You mean some vector ArcGIS shape files?
