looks that this software is also with source code so I can inspire there if there will be a lot of you interested in this, anyway to be true, I don't care a lot about these infos, I don't see anything bad with storing these values. Just my personal opinion

  are you sure about path editing? I think that this is not a good idea to do this on phone. You'll never be precise as on computer. I'm also worried about too complexity for me and for users as well. When you want to edit wrongly created track, I suggest to be sure you want store this track and edit it before save . If you want to edit recorded tracks, I really suggest usage of GPSies web service

  About altitudes ... I was planning something with this, so I did it during tomorrow and today morning. Now you can fill altitude to all points on track or to selected points in any category (very useful for augmented reality for example)

  About interval for generating altitude .. I think actual solution is fine. You create new path with enabled online compute (for bike for example). After that go to Tracks screen, tap on track, press "Fill altitude" and whole track will now be with elevation (so elevation profile in Pro works )

PS: also please, when you want to write in Czech, place new topic to Czech part, not in global English ...

you removed cache/track_rec directory and all tracks disapear? nonsence ... all track are stored in data/dbtracks file, so backup this

Hmm, I really have no idea what I can do with this. You're the only one with this issue. I actual market version I did one change. I removed GPS handling from service, to static method so maybe this can do something with these crashes. Give it last chance.

Also a question. Locus crash you only during track recording? Are you using it on any other things than just track record, and if so, works fine otherwise?

enable it in settings (maps), enable GPS and try to go somewhere and you'll see it on maps

I rewrote part of gps handling in new market version. during testing no problem .. so let me know. I'll be since thursday, four day on small trip so I'll test it as well ...

hmm I was thinking about NetworkLink but I wasn't sure if anyone use this ... I'll look at it but cannot promise. I think that this is feature that will not have many users

1.8.7.5 crashes after moving ("scrolling" a litte faster in the same zoom level) with Google online  (Classics) maps.  
Seems not in 1.8.7 (latest Pro version).  Could please anybody verify?

also guys, if you really want to help, best for me is ability to simulate same problem on my phone. So when you take log thanks to aLogCat program immediately after app crash and also write me a little bit, what did you do, this is best and I'm sure, fix will be quick ... thanks!

do not put too much effort to map creating guys. I'll have to solve this "problem" in some global way when I'll enable officially vector maps in Locus, so I'm sure, all maps will be available but it will take some time ...

I just published version with some small updates. I during weekend started with wife work on manual and also on some review for one czech servers so there is not much news but at least something. I would also like to release tomorrow new version because since Thursday to Sunday I have small turistic - locus terrain testing vacation ... finally

looks you're confused scale depend on screen size, so galaxy tab has probably more pixels on width so scale is a little bit longer. Anyway scale is now rounded to nice numbers so, you can check that scale 10km should show same width on map on both phones even when you take some measure, it will be different, if you understand

you're only partially right rijackson. I had few times similar issue - I enabled GPS on satellite screen, and after a while button was still enabled but GPS in system was disabled. Is this what you all mean? I trying a lot to find why is this done, but without success still. damn ... anyway I rewrote part of GPS handling to be more stable I hope so this should solve this problem. We'll see in next release.

If you have other type of issue, this will probably solve solution from rijackson ...

  hmm you mean, you draw path on web and set it as "follow road" and in locus is only straight line. That's the problem? It's correct, because path is computed by some google api on web. About uploading of tracks. I had this wish few times, but I'm sure that My maps isn't much useful for sharing bigger amount of points. It also have some limit, I think around 5000 points. This is also reason why I added support for GPSies server which is excellent choice for track sharing and you can upload track directly from Locus. Do you think that using My Maps for track sharing is useful? As I wrote, there are limits anyway it can be done if will be required.
