Other features / Re: Samsung Galaxy SII

hmm and is map working then for you? We was discuss about it here but not sure what was result. Corrupted map maybe? Are all maps do this?

as I see, background and basic layer (streets, cities) are as classic mapnik server, so no problem with this. To them is mixed WMS service as contours, so this is currently problem.

for this I need anyway to contact map owner. Is there any page with some terms of use? Maybe translation with google, tell me something more

i think that till they don't release new version, I have not much to do. I also do not know this library well (wasn't time for this) so I rather wait till some tested release will be out, then to try implement what already is done and then only heard that it do not work, fix it.

I also know about this "issue". It's a while that they started to work on it and I'm also looking forward to it. Will be really cool if this will work :)

nice icon :)

try to move far away from your "guide to" location ... or try it on tablet for example ... you can discover that two visible values are very useful. Why is this confusing for you? Just one on start and second at the end ...

hmm not so much. Just some screen that will allow some settings. If there will be need for GPS it will grow. Anyway without this just screen and then some function that will periodically compute new location and send it to Locus. I'm not sure if locus will handle this correctly and just update location instead of displaying new point, so maybe also some improvements in Locus. Anyway I think that two days should be enough for this ...

Hi Rob,
it's weird. I'm playing with it right now and seems that it works correctly. Don't you have set too short distance for "if move away from track"? You may play with this even if you're not out in wild. Just disable gps in Locus and start guiding. Your map center will work as when you move ...

hmm I understand ..

I was thinking about it during a day, also talking with girlfriend about it, and even it's quite interesting idea and even it should take less then a day to get it work to usable state, I have to refuse. I don't see much usage in this. Seems like you'll be only one who find usage for this feature. Watching of moving of another object is nice, but there is very low number of objects that have constant speed and bearing ...

anyway if you'll be very interested in this, I may try to create addon for this, that will periodically send updated location of one point to locus. Remind me this during winter .. I'm sure there will be some free time and this seems like interesting and "cute" idea for me ...

Hi Thomas,
offline routing do not depend on me, but on creators of MapsForge library that I use for routing. Anyway, as i saw, they work on something like that, so maybe we'll be surprised next year

when you calculate new track with "Navigation" feature that it's always overwrite old track, that's wanted behavior. If you want to store some tracks for later navigation, you need to plan them manually. Just go to functions, start "Add new route" function. Then tap on third button and select type you want to compute. Since that (since third button is highlighted), all added points will be computed by online service. So then simply add by first button your points (or hold first button for more options) and after you'll be satisfied, press fourth to store your track. That's all ...

Troubles & Questions / Re: Altitude in POIs
November 13, 2011, 11:19:41
hi,
when you run "New altitude" button on "edit point" screen or if you fill altitudes for poi's, it fill data from google database and values are stored for point as a "real" altitude. When you store point during enabled GPS, altitude is taken from GPS and this is not "real" value. So "Adjust altitude" settings is applied only on GPS data, no more. And to be true, difference 9m is quite good!

so if I understand correctly ...

you want to insert "moving point" with some azimuth and speed and be able to keep guiding on this point right?
