hi guys,

so

1. I hope that map should NOT have to be orientated to north. Thanks to required three points, map should be orientated in any directory. But I haven't tried yet. Have you any sample that do not work? I'll check it ... (after few hours ...), uff mistake found. You was right, there was a problem ... should be fixed now

2. I found one issue after pressing "Compute" that might cause out of memory error, so it should be now also fixed (use testing version here)

3. anyway I currently need to load whole image to memory to work with it, so huge images may cause troubles. I still have no simple solution for this. Tested on Xoom, and loading of 4000x3000 huge image, took around 25MB of memory ... on normal phone, this is more then max memory that system allow locus to handle.

4. also I cannot find problem with displaying "Map item manager" dialog. May anyone create this testing version? Some changes was done there so it may help, otherwise log is needed. Also one important change. Created maps are now placed into locus/mapItems directory. After locus start you may start "Map item manager" (if will work) and here you can enable/disable maps you want without need to import (only as display) as it is currently.

5. glynta - I disabled anti-aliasing so now image should be sharper then before, try please

Also I was thinking about storing state of loaded maps between session. But due to problems with memory, I'll for now leave it as is, so you need after every start, load your own maps ...

hi,
this feature is really in beta but it works in simple way
1. import KMZ file like in normal import
2. if will contain GroundOverlay layer, it will be displayed on map
3. to work with this layer (currently only hide/ show / delete), go to functions > map item manager
4. locus do not remember loaded overlays, so after you start locus again, you need to load it once more as in step 1.

Quote from: "rijackson741"Great   I wanted this feature a lot. I have Maprika on my ...

glad you like it ;). Anyway there is button "Map" next to coordinates, where you can display map (with small overlay from photo). There is not need to define exact coordinates

Quote from: "gynta"its much better than "Map Calibrator". so i can delete this stuff now. :)
to calibrate from a reference-map is a great idea and works!

how can i save (and load) now various calibrated pictures/maps?

all calibrated maps are exported to "export" directory for now

Quote from: "Khaytsus"Okay, I found how to calibrate a map, it shows...
Thank you for feedback, I'll surely improve it. Currently worst part is size of images ... that's maybe reason why app crashed to rijackson.

hi,
I'm not at least a little familiar with winCE application Winpilot so I have no idea what data you want to use in Locus. Please specify a little and we can chat about it. Here in locus community is a lot of pilots as I know, so it should be interested topic for more people ...

Troubles & Questions / Re: Google Maps navigation?
November 26, 2011, 17:06:37
Hi,
  unfortunately isn't ...

"Note: the Directions API may only be used in conjunction with displaying results on a Google map; using Directions data without displaying a map for which directions data was requested is prohibited. Additionally, calculation of directions generates copyrights and warnings which must be displayed to the user in some fashion. For complete details on allowed usage, consult the Maps API Terms of Service License Restrictions."

also nice :)

I tried just for test, import 130MB huge file with 10k caches into one category. Import took 12 minutes (with duplicate check enable) and then loading whole category around 15 secs ... not so big problem and all works. Anyway SGS2 is quite powerful device, so something like ZTE BLade should, have troubles. Anyway I hope you all except bongo ;), don't have big problem with these "limits" ...

yes but method I describe is almost same! Did you noticed small black corners on some buttons? That means that button have second functionality for long click, so try this on first button on bottom panel when you create route with "Add new route"

Declined / Re: using ozi explorer maps in locus
November 26, 2011, 12:19:54
androzic use some other library that violate terms of use OziExplorer authors

EDIT: hmm anyway I don't know how this all works .. have anyone some more specific information about Ozi Explorer map format? For example this program I discovered http://www.geopainting.com/en/limitations.html can read Ozi maps and it's payed, so it is possible that it do it's work illegaly, but it's also possible that no ...

NEXT EDIT: ah nice ... http://code.google.com/p/ozfenc/ .. so map format of OZFX2 can be found here in these pythons scripts. Good enough ... so now main question is if there exist any tool that allow convert from new OZFX3, to older OZFX2 format and also what about the "terms of use" ... any ideas?

LAST EDIT (after next hour of seaching) : oki guys. Because Locus now allow to handle all possible map projections, I'm willing to sacrifice few days to try and test OZFX map format (surely num. 2, maybe 3. also). Main thing for me is here ability to public propagation of this feature. So I need some information if there is allowed to use this format or not. If author of OziExplorer do not allow this at all cost, I'll not do this ... otherwise ... hmm :)

REALLY LAST EDIT: damn, I discovered this .. http://www.oziexplorer.com/ ... seems I'll try to contact OziExplorer creator by myself to check possibilities ...

Zdravím,
zkoušel jsi zabalit data nějakým jiným programem? Postup máš samozřejmě správný. Pokud ti to nepůjde, tak mi nějaký nefunkční zabalený soubor pošli a já na to kouknu v čem je problém

I'm worried that this is what he wrote berkley. And this will not work. Tracks that are created by "Navigation" function, share same ID in database and they everytime overwrite itself. Function I told you, to use "Add new route" is really what you need ... steps

1. start "Add new route"
3. tap on third button and select type of route you want to compute
3. them move over map and by first button add new points to route. When you add second point, compute will start
4. by fourth button, save track when you're satisfied!
