Hi,
I'm not so sure but I'll try :) Anyway, this feature is in today published version 0.9.16. You just have to draw path manually and third button on bottom panel is what you need. Actually it's just for testing, I do not wrote much about it.

you're right, this is missing in locus. I have plan to increase coordinate sources for new or editing points. Actually you should obtain location from gps, map, coordinates, address, contact. I want to also increase by average gps position and projection from another point.

So, I'm not sure about time, but I'll do it :)

ok, fine :) anyway I added this "select all" also on points screen on top left button. I had to do simple "hack", just when category you're actually watching, isn't in that list what I think don't mind ...

ok, thanks guys, I'll release new version tomorrow morning if any new feedback or heavy mistake occur.

and about the size. I know, it's tax for nice graphics and growing amount of code ;)

Hi,
  fine.
1) thanks for tests ;)
2) may you send me for testing you camp file? I'm sure I can do some tweaks to prevent force close (hope), but I don't have so big file :)
3) you can disable all points in quick menu (which you can lunch on right panel on map screen). You want this functionality also on another screen?

Troubles & Questions / Re: GPS enabling? Display?
« on: February 15, 2011, 13:37:55 »
Hi,
yes this is correct. Locus is designed to be mapping software and gps is not needed. You should just watch map without gps (I hate google maps, that everytime I open, enable GPS). If you want GPS enabled everytime, just let GPS enabled when you quit Locus. Thanks to this, you can also simply use Bluetooth GPS. I like this way, Locus independently on system handle GPS.

You should also use quick enabling button (hold for a long gps icon in locus top panel).

answer for you previous post. There is currently no possibility to have default lock value on all zoom levels. If you need "bigger" map, you should lock current map layer. If you need to zoom, you have to unlock, zoom, lock ...

anyway, you're right, there should be any value that allow set in settings double-scaled map for every zoom ...

Discussion/New features / Re: [DISCUSSION] Which map format USE?
« on: February 13, 2011, 13:30:01 »
Hi Mojo,
I do not agree with you.

- SQLite format should me much faster even with big files then TAR format
- you should have as much SQLIte files, as you want, as well as TAR
- SQLite is much more memory efficient. Map in TAR bigger then 1GB should throw OutOfMemory error really often, SQLite almost never even when size is almost 2GB!

and finally. 2GB limitation is bad for experienced users, on other side, map 2GB big, can cover really huge area!! I personally do not have problem to have 3 2GB big maps and just choose correct map.

Sqlite format has one disadvanteage. I do not know on which area map lay (bounding box). It disallow me to do some automatic change of map. But I'm sure I'll find later any solution ;). So I really suggest use just few 2GB big offline maps in SQLite and choose correct by area you're in ...

Hi berkley and scout, thanks for your feedbacks ... so

berkley:
1. agree, I founded amazing graphics guy ;)
2. pause recording: It's working fine. You just have to click on pause and when you want to continue, on rec, not stop!
3.1, 3.2, 3.3 .. OSM aren't perfect, I know i very good. Anyway I don't actually know about any other service that should compute track for free. On second side, I don't want to do any navigation software. Purpose of this is just ... "hmm how can I get from here to here? Click .. ahh, okay, and on bike? click ... aha ... when you play with this actual (for users not much easy) mechanism, you should find that this is very powerful (and little complicated, you're right of course and I know about it) :). But this is just some testing version ...

and finally ... ehm, map centering :D ... YOU are only one, who is still writing me, to remove this functionality. But I really like it as it is :) Is here any chance that you should get used to this? :)

scout:
ok, I added into settings ability to choose if you want to see all, on hover on nothing (item labels) ..

Your testing means very much for me. Unfortunately I still have to do something new and change something that was already tested and working. So, sorry for that :). In new version I now posted here, I really rapidly rewrote dialog for point and added support for viewing tracks recorded with Google My Tracks software (google finally released new version). Dialog for points should do some troubles, and it really need to check. Also there are missing some icons, but they will come, don't worry ...

Hi,
I sorry but I don't know google maps more then to view maps :). Anyone to help with this?

Anyway, to import data to Locus, I'm sure you ahve to export data from google maps to any of supported format that Locus should load (gpx, kml, loc, ...)

hi,
no no, you're doing all well. This is just unofficial and not tested feature :) Beeping is currently for, for example geocaching hunt when you're navigated on one single target. navigation along path currently works but not perfectly I'm sure.

I'll do something with this, and then we should discuss about it more ... (after some working basic will be published)
