spoilers - I have to really look at it because I know nothing about it ...
projection of point - this will surely be added into Locus. I was thinking about it a few months ago. I'll add this together with some averaging system for geocachers ...

Yes it's possible. It's probably since android version 2.3 is out and settings is added to application manifest. I have to figure out this issue. May you wait for cca hour? If no version will be visible for you, I'll upload here testing version, maybe with enabled My Maps support again.

About My Maps. I tested them on my girlfriend motorola milestone 2.1 and she cannot connect to server. It write about deprecated API. So I know about this issue on 2.1. But currently I'm not sure how to handle all this thinks around My Maps so actually they work only on 2.2+ ...

anyway, there were problem with address search and visibility to tablets, so I quickly released second version and also added new settings (record only when speed > 0) into settings. Check and test. Maybe it will be enough and cover all your troubles. If not, we will try any more improvements ...

• added recording GPS data to NMEA!
• fixed problem with track recording (there were problem with not functional settings)

Hmm it's also solution. Anyway I uploaded updated application on market with faster internet check when address is searched so please try. Also count with possibility to tap on map to dismiss small popup window immediately.

Heleď to je docela dobrý, ani jsem netušil že něco takového jde udělat, ale je to docela divný ... rozhodně doporučuju mít v jednom souboru jenom jednoho mapového poskytovatele a to ve více zoomech. Pak zvolíš tu mapu, toho jednoho poskytovatele (např. google maps) a v rámci něj můžeš zoomovat po těch měřítkách která jsi si stáhl. Když budeš chtít prohlížet druhou mapu (např satelitní) která je ve druhém souboru, tak budeš muset do menu s mapami a vybrat si jí a pak můžeš zase zoomovat ale opět v rámci pouze té jedné mapy.

I'm not sure feeble if this help on what just thought. I understand, you stand on one place and GPS is getting better location and move you (blue circle) on map but speed is zero. I should add into settings some checkbox like "Record only when speed > 0"? Autopause when speed == 0 isn't good idea by me. For this, is pause button, because pause also stops time record so it should be fully in hands of user.

Exactly. But it's weird. Dialog with "intializing" should popup and also initializing should start even after map is show, not before. When it starts before, you just see white screen and init id done on background without dialog ... weird. We will see in next version ...

I created faster check if internet connection is available. So in your case, dialog with "no address" will popup faster. Also when during "loading" you click on map, dialog disappear!!

Also, do you really think that this thing needs separate setting in application to disable it?

Hi,
  send them please on locus(@)asamm.cz. Anyway, you're not only one who notice me about problem during start. Should help if you leave app for a while (maybe five minutes) until background initialization stops or you should delete whole cache directory. I'll release today new version, so maybe there will be fixed (I'm not sure because I didn't noticed this problem on my phone).
