hmm feet complicates me a little bit whole system (because 800 feet (current limit) is just around 250m) so I improved whole system. Beno, I'm trying "Disable lock screen" settings and it works correctly for me. Is possible that every system has it's own implementation? Or are you using any special lock screen?

Anyway, because last locus version had still many bugs (and one serious with crash at start), I'll tomorrow morning release new version, so if anyone had any issue and have some free time, you may try testing version ala "last minute" Feedback is welcome, hope everything will be fine. I really want to release before Christmas bug-free version, so hope this wish will be success

I imported your settings successfully and 2.5 km bike trip, I have recorded 125 points ... may you try to reset locus settings to default (you have current already stored) and try recording then? I have no idea what settings may cause so low number of recorded points for you. I'm sure, that there is no settings that can have influence on this. I also do not use any third party library or some tools for computing if point will be saved or not, so I have really no idea where should be problem. Anyone facing similar issue?

also please check as you wrote more carefully wrong distances, I'll for sure test it. Maybe you can record during ride NMEA messages. Then I'll be able to play whole track as I sit next to you. So good for testing on some places ...

  problém je že tahle chyba se nebude projevovat jen při pípnutí ale obecně při jakémkoliv zvuku který locus zkusí zahrát. Naprosto to nechápu, ta chyba neukazuje error na nějakém přesném místě, a ten kus kódu, který byl ve verzi 'a' zakomentován, tak jsem dal ve verzi 'b' úplně mimo a stejně. Chjo ... budu asi zítra ráno vydávat další verzi, je tam nasekaných spousta chyb co potřebuje opravit a ješte jsem tam udělal trošku úpravy, tak to prosím zkus, jestli bude pípat jak má . Díky

  problem with distance is weird ... I'll tell you in basic, how my system works.

new location comes from GPS, I then update location on map and start compute of new location on route. Locus compute nearest point projected on route and distance from this point to next cross. Lets say you ride 50km/h and you're now 510 metres to cross. I reduce distance to cross by one second of ride (to remove some GPS delay), so it's 460m and I'm then searching for closest text to say. Closest are 400 and 500m, so I take 500 in this case. Before I start search for text to say, I convert metres to yards if needed, so I just compute 460 * 1.09361 and search text for this.

you say "Either way, could you make the TTS measurements and annoucements match the distance units" but as I wrote, I'm already taking "metres" and "yards" units, so this should work correctly

I'm testing map you talk about here. Seems like in zooms 0-11 is some issue. Issue is anyway in MapsForge library for sure. I talked about a week with Thalia (seems like leader of MapsForge) and they prepare new version of their library. This will change a lot of things, and also map format. So I suggest to wait (14 days, month) till they release new version and then throw on them all issues at once (if they still be there)

quite nice result I think. Also for almost whole time was running music. Battery consumption around 28% for that time ...
