Other features / Re: Google My Maps issue

hmm this is not possible gynta. I'm just testing it and seems that export as KML (by some new KML button in google maps), export all points generated on map, not just start and end point! Try to zoom in ...

anyway when you show this route directly in locus by  My Maps feature, you'll probably see only start/end point ...

nono, in moment you turn off screen or screen that need compass goes away, compass is also disabled. Really, in locus is very lot of features that helps keep CPU and battery usage as low as possible. Anyway in every system are mistakes, so ...

thanks tommy ... it happens only on roundabout or did you noticed this also on any other place? And may you send me start and stop location that go over any place with this issue? so I can test it on my phone? (if there isn't any issue in routing data)

hmm, this is similar like issue that I was discuss with rijackson here viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1440 ... it's not your problem but have to be some issue in Locus. If you discover some specific issue with some settings, tell me for sure ...

Hi,
  there are two things ...

1. when you add in web google maps points and set My Maps to compute path between them, this will not be reflected when loaded into locus! You may try it
2. because you're quite zoom out in map, Locus is optimizing tracks to better performance, so try to zoom in and see if track will then have more visible points. Hmm, not sure if you'll understand what I want to say ... just, it's possible, that locus draw on your screenshot, only every 10th, 20th point, so you need to zoom in a little

hmm quite interesting. Before your test, I should for sure say, that I'm sure :), anyway I'll check it again because there should not be any difference ... may you just for my curiosity, try this also with any offline map? Thanks ....

I'm using mainly vector maps in terrain so the stats reflect using of vector maps also. There was maybe issue on version before 1.15.x, but latest, should work correctly in this way. You may also try ...

quite a lot of requests. About unique name ... you're using method that import some file ... for this, is not possible (and will not be) to set some unique values on data. Anyway as Points have now own system for posting to Locus, same will be done also for tracks, so then will be possibility to update already existing track.

and lot of other things ... I also don't know what all can be possible with intent system, but we'll try ... ;)

thanks for cross-post ... I know about this mistake. Quite funny :)

I'll rather call overlays in KML file, just a calibrated picture. My idea is allow calibrate huge files in few steps - select file > cut file to pieces and create not-yet-calibrated-tar-map > calibrate this map ... voala ... but this in future ;)

Martin, please try this test version viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1404&p=8598#p8598

good point, yes it's perfect method for precise calibration. About your "PS", calibrated map placed into 'maps' folder will not be able to load. You have to place map into mapsItems directory and use "Map Item manager" for fast loading and unloading. Currently, there is need to load map everytime after start. I'm trying to prevent some unexpected outOfMemory errors that may happen ...
