Troubles & Questions / Re: No-go
July 27, 2021, 07:35:59
Hi francisco,
I was almost sure, that this feature is already implemented (recalc during navigation when no-go changes) and you are of course correct > it is missing. Well, it should work partially in case of "Recalculate with point priority" and no via points along. Anyway, it is a more complex task so I'll rather look at it next month and not a few days before the new version. I'll let you know here ... thanks

@Andrew Heard
I'm still step-by-step fixing the remaining problems with panel visibility. May you share a backup of the settings with me so I may simulate this issue? Thanks!

@luce
how you didi it?  ;D

@Viajero Perdido
thanks, got it!

It is enough to have them in the downloaded folder. The app will detect its presence automatically when searching for an offline address source.

@tapio
Seems that the QR code is correct, just Google Lens has some problem.

@Žajdlík Josef
do you have downloaded offline LoMaps for this area? The address is filled only from the offline database.

@Joska
Maybe explanation: when you change anything in points/tracks, within 30 seconds should be done synchronization with the server. When it is done, it should refresh content in the app and also content in the data manager. Maybe just in this moment, you are in this screen. Is it possible?

@Erelen
I've removed the time limitation for the Beta versions and this is just invalid info > I'll remove it as well, thanks.

@tapio
do not work at all? Negative value > ah right. I've updated the global setup for slope based on currently selected units and the option for negative values was missing > fixed.

Hello,

4.1 Recalculation speed
- here it highly depends on the distance the BRouter has to compute. The longer the distance, the speed grows almost exponentially. For common hike & bike, it is not a big problem I believe. Most of the routes is below 50km and for this, speed is good enough. For longer routes it may be a problem, agree.

Bigger problem is, that even Radim, who in our team work on routing profiles, isn't experienced enough, to bring some noticable speed improvement to the BRouter system, so it is more on the work of Arndt (developer of the BRouter).

4.2 Auto-zoom
This will be a lot easier :). You probably has set to apply certain "Preset" when navigation starts (in the navigation settings). So modify this preset!

Hello francisco

thanks for the very detailed description. I'm anyway not sure, how may I help here. You wrote you use completely different routing profiles, so how you want to compare the navigation capabilities of both apps? Integrated LoRouter, external BRouter from Google Play, or online LoRouter ... all should return identical results when you use exactly the same routing profiles. Data used for routing are also probably identical. So give a try to the same profile. You may use custom routing profiles in offline LoRouter or BRouter so use the same!

Btw. the easiest method to verify you have required routing data for offline LoRouter is to open detail of any LoMap in the Locus Store. There is in the middle option to download routing data.

Sorry I do not have more usable answer.

Hi francisco,

Big "?" in navigation usually means that you are out of computed route and you should on the map see, where is the recommended path. To me, it mainly looks that LoRouter and BRouter computed different routes. Is it correct?

Both routers use their own set of routing profiles. You probably do not share exactly the same profiles in both routers right?

So, to at least compare both routers, the best should be if you share with us here the start and end coordinates and type of routing you choosed for BRouter and LoRouter.

Damn, this seems to be weird ...

"Swipe" in the list of recently active apps, does not always have to completely kill the app, so do not rely on this!

Slowdown during the start > there should be visible some text, why is app paused. Maybe it waited on finishing automatic backup, maybe it was stuck for a while by testing filesystem permissions, there is really a lot of tasks that happen and if the device is busy with some other tasks at this moment, it may take a few seconds more ...

Only what I may do about recording, is adding some more logs to the app. So in the next Beta (tomorrow), please enable the "Logs to file" option in the hidden menu (long tap on the main menu) and after this problem happens, send me the last log where should be more info, thanks.

@ADiet
hmm, I do not see any crash for your ID  :-\

EDIT: new version *MapGooglePlay_4.2.1.2_1023_beta* with "white-panels fix" available!

@Andrew Heard and others on A8-
I've noticed the exact same issue with the white side content panel (or recording panel) on my Samsung S7 and also once missing content in the bottom panel. Seems to be some issue in Android so time to search for a hack ...

---

A little later: btw. thanks for the precise testing and report. The blank panel should be solved now. Problem with duplicated tracks after recording happened to me once or twice as well ... still no idea how this may happens, sorry. Does it happen always to you?

@michaelbechtold
weird. Track recording is made into file(s) stored in the Locus/cache/track_rec directory. These data should be deleted in the moment, track is correctly saved into the database. There is no reason why this should not happen in the case, data are correctly saved and also exported, hmm.

You may only try to create a bug report by the old method after this failure happens. There may be visible some error .. maybe.

@WujTom
I've asked twice because the file you shared with us in your post had version 4!

Anyway, please use (for example) this tool: https://jsonlint.com . JSON is very sensitive to incorrect syntax and in your file exists 4 small issues ... thanks.

New version MapGooglePlay_4.2.1.1_1022_beta published with a few nice updates (mainly better usage of display on A9+).

@slarti76
I wrote that I do not have what to do? ;D Petr pushes me to Locus GIS, Jan to some tasks related to app promotions (because our summer sales are a lot worst than we hoped to be true) and my internal task list has little more than 100 things to do ... uff. Anyway shading, right ...  :)

Hi Wole
thanks for the screenshots. On the screen with darker LM4, it looks like even a top and bottom system control panels are darker, right? The app can't affect the brightness of these panels!

I'm sorry, but I have absolutely no idea how app may affect brightness of your display  :-\

I'll add three settings that affect navigation UI to Presets in the next Locus Map app version.

Seems everybody is enjoying sunny/rainy weather (that is at least now in central Europe), nice.

Fortunately seems that I did not miss, because of the small holiday I had, nothing important. Fine. So enjoy summer  ;)!
