to check VDOP value and why it does not refresh, I'll need from you recorded NMEA messages created in the time, the problem was visible. It may be done by enabling NMEA recorded in the Locus Map > settings > GPS & sensors > NMEA recording. Thanks.

It is more about OsmAnd than OruxMaps. OruxMaps is very close to Locus Map, but it is not so actively developed, and hard to say what are Jose's plans.

SHP files are fully supported in Locus GIS app. I do not think it belongs to Locus Map app as it is format focused on GIS & mapping.

Anyway, are there any serious advantages of the OsmAnd compared to Locus Map? Some time ago, OsmAnd was made mainly for navigation and nothing more. Over years, both apps have more and more in common, but both do things in different ways.

But because I've never used OsmAnd (what a surprise  ), I'll be interested in the major advantage you see in it, thanks.

Hi to all. A little weird winter in most of Europe, not an ideal weather to some out-activity right? I was stuck on some really weird problems in the core of the Locus Map & Android & Gear watches etc. So this new version does not bring too many interesting news. Anyway new weather forecast & support for Garmin Varia radar should be usable additions. Enjoy it and winter as well

Hi guys, I was stuck for almost a whole week solving problems with quite random crashes at the start in some cases ...

from where is the link to the shared web planner route? As I see, in the URL generated by the Android app, no such "double-dots" exists.

A limited list of apps > Locus Map does not have permission to access all available apps on the device, only the pre-selected ones. So I need to manually define supported apps. This is different compared to Tasker.

hmm, there seem to be some changes with notifications as well with the latest Android 13 update  . May you please check app system settings > Permissions > Notifications ... are they enabled for Locus Map?

Michael wrote everything I believe . Simply try to put your maps into a sub-directory in the Locus/maps directory. Whole sub-directory will be then used as a single map file.

backups & its content ... seems I'll have to look at it and rewrite a backup setup completely. I believe that the best solution should be an option to setup the content of automatic and manual backups.

NoGo points ... I know I know. Another old story 

And for all ... current, sometimes not working backups > will be fixed in next bug-fix version (in next few days), sorry for this.

not a direct mistake, but sorry for the confusion. Important is mainly the second number 1087 vs 1089. This is the internal numbering of public versions and it is always incrementing by +1 and can never go backward.

I noticed this during the weekend as well. I was trying to fix it and was unable to find out, why the geocaching.com server report any error. And hour later, the issue disappeared, uff. So most probably some issue on the geocaching.com server.

Ah sorry, in the number of various requests, I've forgotten about it.
