Yes, and this is why I prefer to have the main directory on internal storage; only mass data like (vector) maps and SRTM on external SD.
Which rings another bell: configurable directories have been a GREAT enhancement. When it comes to SRTM, it is still troublesom: some GB of SRTM sits on external SD are there already, directory points there. Then you go to a new area, where you do not have SRTM yet - guess what ... GRRRR !!
It would make a lot of sense to try external first, if file not there, look at default dir, if not there, offer to download to default (which is writeable, if Locus setup is done smartly).
Some housekeeping (move from default to external SRM) stays a manual job every x weeks, no worries here.

Fully understand Locus and alike cannot work with such crap functions.
I had hoped that 5.0 would simply allow full access for an app to a complete directory e.g.; ask user once, then open door. Shame on Google.

Wasn't there a new way in 5.0 that would allow to grant access to SD card for apps ?
The total SD mess is with Kitkat ...

Wie wäre es mit einer klaren Ansage: max. 1000 Einträge, ABER: es kann ein Query-Filter verwendet werden.
Und alles wird gut, solange dieser Filter weniger als 1000 Ergebnisse impliziert ?

Planning the details of a 2 week Morocco trip (incl. Atlas mountains), I found a number of missing features in addition (to above insert track), that can easily be fixed:
1) getting from a track point to the chart, with vertical line already put in (the other way round is there - from position in chart you can get to the point on the map easily)
2) Point popup content configuration should also offer "Navigate FROM"
3) Point popup content configuration should also offer "Edit"
You may see that I LOVE "Point popup content configuration" feature as such - users simply need to get more freedom of choices :-)

Hello, I have a suggestion to this beta new feeature:

- add: function that 'cut' part of track on map

It would be nice if Locus also was able to insert an existing track between two waypoints of another track, or yet better replace an user defined track part defined by starting and ending waypoint by another track, optionally saving the result to new track. This would be very helpful for creating track alternatives without having to complexly split/join the track.

Sure - eidt = re-place in my post. Annoying, as it is an additional step. It usewd to be one step in the past, now you end up with two in many cases.
I do not argue against the new way. I advise to have BOTH ways. So, depending on device and zoom and stylus or not, etc., people can apply the most useful approach.

With mouse or S-Pen (Galaxy Note) it works as shown in the clip. But is this feature useful with a normal phone at all?

Misplacement happens easily, yes. And then you have to pick the point, delet it, or pick and re-place it. Tedious indeed.
I feel this is like crazy religious war between mouse and keyboard shortcust 20 years back. Now we have both - for a good reason. Menion, just get us back the "Add point" - the cose ist still in use - when you re-place :-)

"edit location" has now included(!) a "add point" function.

Also in settings I did not find a way to configure such feature.
Why is that ??

Tried new Beta yesterday and today, two observations:
- GPS catch not working. Had to reboot, tried again with Beta, no success, used older Pro - worked
- as you can imagine, quiet a bit of my trip through Paris was lost, so I tried to fill in manually. First step is moving the first point. Put it to La Defense, pressed the new "OK" at the top - nothing happens. Old Pro does the job well in the old way.
Any thoughts ?
