Another thing, old one in fact. How can I switch e.g. Panoramio and other screen elements on and off with ONE tap from the map UI ? Map overlay is a function that I can put in the upper or right function bar. I did not find the new ones.

So placing "Elevation" section above "Speed" section is acceptable solution?

And some "Share my record" which generates some really nice image that should be shared where-ever wants .. sounds good . More people interested in such task, feel free to create an idea on help desk. It has my vote and it also fits to my plans on next month (improved Share on Facebook mainly for points).

I thought speed, duration, distance on top, then elevation.
And this share would also work via mail, WhatsApp, Threema and alike, via standard Android sharing mechanics I hope.

@Joachim Buhl: Change it back? No, sorry. Discuss, yes . May idea was to place all "elevation values" next to each other. So all six elevation values are in same section. What you want, is system before, so most interesting information at top, rest below. Cannot say I agree, anyway it's quite matter of taste. Any I do not plan any settings here, sorry. What others think?

Btw. how you share your results? Just take a screenshot with your device and share it over some WhatsApp application, right? What if Locus offer this "screenshot" from full statistics screen? Maybe it should be even a little better ... small map preview and statistics below...

Grouping all elevation stuff together makes sense, also having the most relevant results on top makes sense. So put those on top, followed by most relevant elevation and then the rest of it.
A full information sharing function would be the luxury way out. Very much appreciated and ending any dispute. I hope ;-)

Hmmm, wenn das bekannt ist: was hindert einen daran diese Zeile in das Track-File per Hand einzufügen ?
Ist zwar umständlich, aber wenn es dem Seelenfrieden dient ...

P.S.: and it only happens on the currently visible map page. When scrolling away, the vector map is correctly shown. Going back to the initial page will show a correct vector map, too,  using the very latest beta. in earlier betas this was not the case,  as far as I remember. You had to play around longer to get rid of the black tiles.

Discard of track: it should really happen only in case, no single trackpoint is recorded. Maybe forget to enable GPS, maybe no GPS signal at all? Don't know if I Locus should notify that "No trackpoint is recorded, really discard?" Will be such question better and more logical for you, then simply "nothing" as now?

And maps ... hmm. If overlay has only level 12, then in level 18/19, it will be completely disabled, so it's correct. But why it is draw as black, it's a question. Some incorrect combination o transparency and some blend mode maybe? But again ... be able to simulate this problem is a key for me ... unfortunately .

Some more food for the black tile invasion issue in case of overlay: if you have black tiles and then click on overlay button, they are immediately displayed with correct map data.
Effect is the same since a number of betas, incl.  very latest.
As I have seen that only on the LG G5, which is damn fast,  this may be a timing issue.

Proprietäre Mentalität ? €€€ ? Alles nur zu menschlich.

Wobei es wohl mehr €€ geben könnte, wenn OAM und andere Kartenliebhaber etwas für die DBs zahlen würden, was ich in der derzeitigen Situation aus Prinzip nicht machen würde. Nenne es auch Starrsinn, wenn Dir das lieber ist.

Michael, den Grund der Paketlösung wurde Dir doch bereits von Petr an anderer Stelle erklärt.
Die Datenbank und die Karte wird stets in einem Aufwasch erneuert.
Man bekommt also stets die neuen Daten mit den neuen Karten.
Ist zB bei meinem Navtec Autonavi-system nicht anders: Neue Karte = neue Datenbank
Wobei darauf hinzuweisen ist, daß keinerlei Kaufzwang besteht.
Die Karte kostet - aber die offlineDatenbank ist gratis mit dabei.
Ich sehe es ähnlich wie mit mit div. Onlinekartenangeboten von outdooractive,  IGN, swissTopo,...

Den status quo brauchst Du nicht erklären. Und
es gibt keinen guten Grund den status quo zu erhalten oder zu verteidigen.
Sie könnten, und es wäre nicht schwer, aber sie wollen nicht. Starrsinn. Oder zweifelhafte Motive.

Fair wäre ein getrenntes Angebot für das Download der POI/Adress-DB.
Da es um eine reine Namenskonvention geht, gibt es keinen akzeptablen Grund die Kunden für etwas zahlen zu lassen was sie nicht brauchen oder wollen.

Maybe this irregularity could be related to the track closing without commit to DB ? Both are random effects that smell like uninitialized object, i.e. random content with unpredictable effects. Just guessing.

The duration points to Jan 1, 1970, the beginning of Unix time counting ...

They were useful as a stake in the ground and a reminder :-)

E.g. for the extreme track durations; I did not encounter this for the first time, but forgot to report in the past ... I will send you the gpx file in a mail.

Re. the black zones in display: overlays has SQLite map data up to level 11 incl., level 12 is transparent.
Magnify from 11 to 12, and then I saw the effect. Numerous times, in different places. At level 18 or 19, the proper vector map display comes back.

The discard of track has no pattern. In my years of Locus (but not with the early releases) I had that maybe a handful of times. Nothing special about them. Hit the red button, existing folder, export is activated, no edits. Save button. Gone. No message, no entry in DB, no exported file. Hard to replicate, I know very well.

Latest beta also discarded Recorded Track without notice.
