I would like to suggest to have more transparency in labels and no frame or an option in settings to adjust transparency and the color of the frame.
I added some POI and everytime the label covers junctions amd ways or other labels.
Using a whole POI database is a mess...

after month this is my second try to run the offline POI db, but it doesn't work
Using 2.19.0 Pro, no testing version.
I downloaded germany.map from mapsforge, downloaded the germany.poi.db.zip (unzipped also) and put them together in external storage. Maps is loaded but the poi.db not. What i have to do?

... then go into Locus > menu > more > Points of interest and check if you may see Norway POI's (important here is to download missing library - it's just one time event but without this, DB will not work).

Locus should be the all-in-wonder-mobile-tool, am i right? Therefore statistic functions are necessary. (Now i have to use GPS-Track-Analyse-6.net for this purpose on my desktop computer)

  how you imagine some average ascending?

Lets pimp the information and diagram screen.
Locus can analyze the track and divide it into parts where min and max altitude are significant different. see attachement alt1.png


When tapping on a piece of a divided part Locus can compute and display values for ascending, altitudes and distance of the track part.

Or

Let the user choose the part he wants to analyze using sliders. But let Locus help the user let the sliders snap primarily to the points to min and max altitude. see attachement alt2.png

Additional in the information screen an abstract of ascending (values of average and max ascending up / down ) of the whole track can be shown.

Statistics became very important to me when planning tours in the alps. It shows wether i can go by bike uphill or not. Carry the bike will take much time more so i have to recalculate the time i need. And so on...


What do you think? It's only an idea and has no priority.

I suppport the idea of using the S Pen 'cause i'm a Note user
The function and the fat library should not be included in the Locus core. Better as an add-on.

Is there any possibility to compute the average ascending of a track - or better of a part of a track?
In diagramm there are only absolute values...

quick feedback: after two days of testing camera icon and Locus as a service works absolutely fine for me.

Problem is the MIUI ROM. Never had such poor expierience...
Spontanous shutdowns, disappeared apps, missing phone calls, hidden proxy and so on.

Stable MIUI is an oxymoron.
Better try another ROM.

Yes its hidden. Never expected a enhanced menu when i slider is shown. Even in WLan settings
May be a small triangle beside the capture of the slider can help...

...that speed improvemence in map moving/zooming is very good. Nice work

looking forward to have this in the next final release 

Gynta is right: I looked for a kind of import or "read from" function initially. Thats why i was really surprised about "search".

One more: when i let Locus read the directory with my huge amount of photos and the display is switched off automatically , Locus stop reading the DIR and continues when the display is on again. You can see the progress / percent numbers.

Locus is killed even when its the only app running ? On Galaxy Note with its huge internal memory?? Really?
