@Christian

Kann es sein, dass du diese Einstellung gewählt hast? Kartenmitte verschieben.

Is it possible, you've choosen this config? move map-center
LG, Joska
No, its a LM 4 Free Version. In Free version there is no config like 'move map center'.
Thank you for mitdenking.  ;D

75% of height? There should be a reason for this. This should happen if you use screen rotation & navigation. When rotation is disabled, it should be at 50% as expected.
To avoid misunterstanding: 75% of height means 25% below the top of the display. There was no rotation nor navigation active.
We will try to repeat the mystic behaviour the next time in the field.

In LM4 Free the cursor is on 75% of the display height and not on 50%. Why?!?

@menion: thanx for the distance markers.  8)

The full-screen-bug is back in 4.3.3. :(
Even empty menus, missing icons in bars a.s.o.

@freischneider So with disabled full screen, it works without any problems? If so, @Christian may you please give it a try as well? Thanks.

Disabled full screen did the trick. Thank you @freischneider.
@menion - when you rewrite some code would you please test all functions as you tested it the first time. Thanx.

This is the most unreliable version of Locus I ever experienced: empty bottom panel, tap on track -> empty slide up, themes -> empty and so on. Bringing Locus to background and back to front again it works one (1) time then all is empty again.
Has anyone testet this version before releasing it??? Nice to have such a mess on weekend :(
Enjoy the holiday.

New Beta version 4.0.2.2 just uploaded to Google Drive.

Important info:
For a few weeks, I test automatic reports of crashes to "bugsnag" service. Seems that after many years and many services I tried, this one finally works as expected. And the useful part for you: "user ID" visible in the "about app" page in the app since 4.0.2.2, should finally be used to search for crashes on your device. So let's give it a try and if the app crashes, just send me this ID instead of creating bug reports by the quite complicated system as before. Thanks!
That this happens on my old days *sigh

btw: when will the stable release of the Platinum Eternal Edition be published?

@Christian
uff. If I remember correctly, you wrote nothing about turning on/off display etc etc  ;D

Oki ... so please, exactly

Requirements:
- system GPS turned off
- Locus Map GPS settings set to "Start always"

Steps
- start Locus Map, it tries to use GPS, but it is disabled in the system, so the icon remains orange and you see a blue warning popup after a while
- turn the screen on/off multiple times
- turn GPS in the system settings
- Locus Map ignore enabled GPS and still does not load location

----

These are steps that cause the mentioned problem? No problem with my device. So please modify if you do something differently, thanks.
Sounds weird? Display on/off means GPS on/off when energy savings are active.

Configuration:
: GPS in LM Pro is always on (with an entry in cfg)
: Location service is handled in Android settings (on/off global)

If you start LM Pro and _than_ switch on Location service , LM Pro will never get an satellite signal. LM Pro has to be shut down and restarted. Means, LM Pro needs an activated GPS from the beginning. Not nice :(

Can't confirm.

In LM, I've set "always enabled GPS at start", then closed that app. In system, I've disabled "location" and started Locus Map. Blue warning about disabled GPS appears. The GPS icon is colored orange, but nothing is visible on the map. Later, I enable "location" in the system. Immediately Locus Map start loading new location. Did I miss any steps?
Did you switch off the display (multiple times) before you activated GPS in system and before GPS signal is available?
Sometimes i can not reproduce the behaviour but last week i happend three times in an row.

@Christian
that's what i asked myself when i saw the message. :o
to be honest it was me :P
It is often problematic to interpret the context of the text string in "Crowdin" correctly.
Yesterday I revised the translation, I hope to have saved an understandable text in good german now.
By the way, everybody can contribute to the translation !
Thank you 'Balloni " the often user" 55' for explaning and Ändering ;););)
