I knew it was possible, but it was so long ago that I couldn´t remember how i did it last time.
To me the the gear icon and the "settings" text was one and the same, so I agree with you - some form of separation would be useful.

is there any way to change the routing source (e.g. Brouter to Mapquest) from within the route planner or is it really necessary to go through the main menu? I was sure that this was possible at some point, but can´t find it anywhere in the route planner now.

Das meiste ist ja schon gesagt, aber du solltest natürlich auch beim Garmin dein Barometer vor der Tour kalibrieren. Sonst können sich auch dort Ungenauigkeiten einschleichen.

It´s not a big problem to me, just wanted to report it in case other people have the same problem.
It does not terminate the app, it just says that it´s not responding and gives me the option to wait / close / report after about 30 seconds to a minute. I pressed wait a couple of times, but the app stays frozen.

I have just tried out the new world map feature and in my case it makes my phone (galaxy S4, android 5) crash when zooming in. I´ve tried it with 2 world maps (my own google maps tile map and the world 1-9 Map) with the Germany south vector map from the locus store. As soon as I zoom in past the point where it should change from world map to vector map locus freezes and then crashes. This does not happen always, but most of the time.
Zooming out does not seem to cause any problems.

Menü öffnen -> mehr Funktionen -> Points of Interest (als Beta markiert)
Kannst du dir dann auch in die obere oder rechte Leiste legen.

You are the best, I´ll just wait until it´s implemented. Even as it is, the new presets are already a big help. I think this new feature has great potential for everyone who uses Locus for more than one activity.

Wenn ich Menion richtig verstehe soll man die Inhalte von der Locus News Website bald deaktivieren können und nur Kartendownloads etc. werden angezeigt.
Wenn du die entsprechenden Funktionen gar nicht nutzt solltest du also auch keine Benachrichtigungen erhalten. So wie ich es sehe beschränken sich die "wichtigen Infos" bisher eh auf Kartendownloads.
Sprich wenn du keine Karten herunterlädst solltest du auch in Zukunft wieder deine Ruhe haben.

now that the weather is starting to get better, Locus gets used more again as well.
So I finally sat down and had a proper look at the new presets feature - and it´s just awesome!
One click and i´m in cycling mode - with my cycling dashboard, map rotation and lots of other settings that are useful when biking. Another click and I´m back in hiking mode. Thanks a lot for this feature!
I know it´s still in beta status, but I´d like to ask for two more presets:
1) Hardware compass on / off - I prefer the hardware (magnetic) compass when hiking, but with map rotation on whilst riding the bike the GPS compass works better.
2) Track recording profile - Logically i´d want my hiking profile when i´m hiking and my biking profile when i´m cycling.

I know I can easily change those settings with a couple of clicks - but hey, it´s the whole point of the presets that I don´t have to anymore, isn´t it?

That´s kind of what I expected to hear 
But wouldn´t it be easily possible to allow multiple map downloads? You´d only need an extra screen where you can manage your current downloads. I´m just asking, as a high zoom level download can easily require a few days and in the meantime you can´t download any other maps...
I´d be willing to pay for a higher tile limit, but as far as I am aware you can´t increase the tile limit for google map downloads or can you?
I also think it would be useful to mark a map that hasn´t been downloaded completely as incomplete on the map screen or at least the map details screen.

I have a couple of questions about download an online map (e.g. google maps).
I´m trying to download a larger map area in higher zoom levels, so the 10000 tile limit was reached and I can´t continue until tomorrow - which is fine for me, as I have plenty of time until I need the map.
So here are the questions:
1) How can I see that a map download is unfinished? When I check the Map details there is no mentioning of an incomplete map.
2) I would like to download another map (from a different source, e.g. OSM), but whenever I click on the "download" button I just get told that there is still an unfinished download (of course there is...) and I can only select "delete", "cancel" or "continue" . Does that mean I can´t download another map until the first download is finished, even if the other map is from a different source?

I uninstalled the watchapp and when I tried to install it again I was told that I´d have to update my watch first.
Not sure why that was necessary, if you can still use the app on your pebble classic with an even older firmware...
So I just used my lunchbreak to update my watch and then your watchapp. Looks like everything is working fine. I was reluctant to update, as there is a thread on the pebble forum about crashes in apps that use the compass with firmware 4.0 (and 4.01 as well).
Now the long press works and I can change the refresh rate from my watch - nice solution!

Refresh rate: press long one of right button for 1 sec, and you can see that the up button icon is a refresh picture. Now press the up button once or more and the refresh rate changed. 1 -> 15 -> 30 -> 60 -> 1 ...

Thanks for the explanation. I have tried long pressing all of the buttons, but the up button symbol never changes, it always shows the up-arrow. I tested all sorts of combinations and long click durations, but to no success. I´m either not getting it right or it doesn´t work with the pebble time.

I have Pebble classic, and there is no new firmware for it. But I think, this is a simple app with few feature, so it works with all watch. The new calculated compass function is always accurate when you are moving. (The 12 oclock is the forward direction.)

I´ll wait with the update until the compass bug in the 4.0 firmware has been fixed and then I´ll report back if everything in your app works or not.

You have even changed the GPS accuracy alert system - awesome!
I also saw that you can now modify the refresh rate with a long button press, but couldn´t figure out how it´s supposed to work...?
A long press didn´t seem to be any different to a short press (tried all buttons) - after 20 seconds the sync stopped.

Thanks once again for creating such a useful Locus addon for the pebble watch.
P.s. Have you tried your app with the new pebble firmware 4.01? Because I won´t upgrade if there are any issues. On the pebble forum there is one thread about compass issues with the new firmware.

On my recent holiday (with a lot of hiking trips) i used your app a lot and it worked like a charm - thanks a lot once again!
Just before the holiday was over I saw that there was an update available and read that it included a navigation feature. I tried it straight away and it is just what I had been hoping for. Now I can finally use my watch to find geocaches!
I had tried all other navigation/geocaching apps available for the pebble, but they all had their problems / drawbacks. And then you came along and out all features I had been hoping for into one app :-)
Finally I can see the direction and distance of a cache, as well as the GPS accuracy and any other information I want to have displayed - without having to look at my phone.

I was also happy to see that you have now included a way to pay for your app - a donation+ purchase has just been made :-)

There is one more feature that would make the app absolutely perfect for me: If you could implement an option to make the watch vibrate when you get close to the current target point. So let´s say when I´m 50 meters away from the cache (or any other POI) the watch vibrates (ideally with a customizable vibration pattern).

And if you are interested in general feedback, there are a couple more things that I would see as an improvement:
1) I have set the app to sync the data every 15 seconds. But for navigation to a POI this makes no sense. I guess that´s why you implemented the option to press any button and get real time info for 20 seconds - a great solution. But for geocaching those 20 seconds are often too short. Any chance to have that timespan customizable or maybe to have an option that would activate the "real data" as longs as a point guidance is active?
I tried setting the refresh rate to 1 second in the options, but that does drain the battery rather quickly.
2) I have set the app to notify me when the GPS signal is very bad - another great feature. But when using it in towns it keeps notifying you whenever you enter or leave a building. That´s fine, but the GPS bad / GPS ok message stays until i press a button. An option to auto hide that message after let´s say 10 seconds would be great.
