In a a pair of lines like
<line stroke="#B3A18F" stroke-width="0.6dp" dy="2dp" stroke-dasharray="1,8" stroke-linecap="butt" />
<line stroke="#B3A18F" stroke-width="0.1dp" stroke-linecap="butt" />

the stroke-width scales up and down with the zoom but the dy displacement does not change in the same way.

This code is intended to produce a line with ticks off to one side. As far as I can see, ideally it ought to be:
<line stroke="#B3A18F" stroke-width="0.6dp" dy="0.3dp" stroke-dasharray="1,8" stroke-linecap="butt" />
<line stroke="#B3A18F" stroke-width="0.1dp" stroke-linecap="butt" />

with teh displacement and the width scaling exactly the same way.

@voldapet: It now appears in the Store but doesn't appear under Ordnance Survey in the list of online maps in map manager.
It appears under "OSM - Other" even in the new beta, which claims to have corrected the attribution. It's nothing to do with OSM.

OS Street View Map for the UK incorrectly appears in the store providers under OpenStreetMap.
OS is Ordnance Survey, linked to the UK government and nothing to do with OSM. This map is however made freely available by OS.

This is NOT in Settings but the Maps screen
Maps > Offline tab
(+) Blue plus button
Choose External maps
Select directory

Alternatively, use Settings > Miscellaneous and set the directory for vector maps
This way isn't supposed to be so good but I don't know why.

Troubles & Questions / Re: help with road database
September 06, 2016, 20:03:30
@Michael: I'm not sure how Locus tweaks will help with this problem.
There are a number of ways of doing an address search in Locus. You can search for an address when you initiate navigation. This can be either offline (with LoMaps) or online (using Google, Bing, or Mapquest). Switch between offline and online search by tapping the top right corner of the title bar. You can also do a straight search and use other providers, including Geonames (which can be downloaded to enable an offline search).

After select navigation function a popup show me the location window.
Well, and here i don't see what location Locus need first.
start? destination? viapoint?
So I suggest to change the window title depending on requirements:

This is a difficulty I found took me a while to understand.
What's more, when I press Navigate, the underlying screen has already selected from: GPS to: Screen Centre, so in most cases I just need to dismiss this particular screen. So, could this process be simplified or clarified?
That said, the interface for Brouter is now much much better.

For car, I think the combination Car-Fast and Car-(Fast)Eco would be better than Car-FastEco(otherwise good) and Car-Short.  As I guess not many drivers would really prefer the shortest routes. Car-Eco is short enough.

Well spotted. There was a file missing from the zip. I've now corrected that so try again.
Many apologies.

Improved rendering of cliffs, ridges, dams, quarries, shingle, hiking, bike and MTB trails; fixed sandbanks in rivers.
Improved distinction between cycle track and cycle lanes and improved their visibility.
Updated key.
All in first post.

Sounds to me like the thin line that is left behind after navigation is finished. Tap on the line, tap on the pop up fly out, select "hide".

Anyway in the end, I agree with opinion of @abrensch about duplicating of Locus routing profiles & brf selection. So I've removed it for now and Locus will have hardcoded custom profiles. So for car-fast will be used Libor's "Car-FastEco.brf" profile etc. without possibility to change it. You will be anyway still able to disable Locus custom-mapping and use old used system with mapping directly over BRouter. Reason for this is, that creating system with such huge customization of routing profiles needs more then one afternoon, so it's not possible to implement it now. I've decided to allow less features for now. Thanks for understanding.
Trying this on the new beta, I eventually discovered that "custom settings" means menion's settings, and "fast" means "avoid motorways". Neither are all that obvious, and (at least for me) "fast" should mean "use motorways".
If it is to be hard coded, my preference would be "fast" = "use motorways" and "slow" = "fast-eco" and "avoid motorways". Plus use phrasing like "Locus defaults" or "BRouter defaults" instead of "custom settings".
Anyway, I guess this is only one iteration on the route to perfection.

So, user steps are:
1. Attempt Brouter navigation in Locus but get timeout.
2. Use Brouter app to do same calculation, using remote.brf profile and selecting a to point and a from point.
3. Now it will work in Locus so either import track, or recalculate.
Am I right? If so it's still not very user friendly.

Back arrow button and new Items screen
I follow what you say @menion, but I was flummoxed as how to get back to the Items screen when I had drilled down to a collection of pois.
Back arrow returns straight to the map.

(Answer after a lot of trying is to get the title bar and system buttons to appear, then click system button "back". )
Not intuitive.

They must be somewhere but I can't find them in that location on my system
