after frech download of "germany_south.osm.db" i see the hamburger button top right and can select offline address search

my test address:
Stuttgart Flughafen Flughafenstraße
- Stuttgart street Flughafen
next i take a look on map and see names of towns around the airport to search for
- Echterdingen
- Plieningen
- Filderstadt street Flughafenstraße
- Leinfelden >result  Leinfelden-Echterdingen street Flughafenstraße

for now a foreign visitor didn´t find the Airport of Stuttgart

surprisingly searching with same DB using "POI search" i get results for "Stuttgart Flughafen" or "Flughafen"

in POI search they are available.
If i remember right, in Beta RC there where in search/Adress&Places dialog 2 options, online and offline search, but in  official PRO i see only online search

in V 3.16.0 i found no optional "offline address search"

no, on all these slider knob is visible
- width of route during draw in "Add new route"
- volume level at bottom of navigation dialog
- like size of text for vector maps

problem of unvisible slider knob is only in landscape orientation while set map resolution
EDIT:
one i found with functional but cut and shifted slider knob

with V3.16.0 map is always loaded
only slider knob is not visible and so user can´t set map resolution

- speed of loading tiles is ok for me now

sorry, but problem with non shaded area after enabeled/disabeled shading  exist furthermore on my device and on VM
see screencapture from VM
- shading is enabeled, zoom in /out ZL 9-13 works fine up to 1.25
- at 1.30 i disable shading, zoom in, tiles are not shaded
- at 2.05 i enable shading again, ZL 9-12 tiles are not shaded ZL13 tiles are shaded

from now this area of map is infected, i never get shaded tiles from ZL 9-12 in this area

if i move map to another region (complete new tiles) with enabeled map shading i get shaded tiles from ZL9-13 till i disable mapshading once.

- i clear cache of Locus Free app
- i start Locus Free/Beta
and now my question an perhaps the solution:
- where get locus info for shading in south west area of my map on ZL9-12, independent shading is enabeled or disabeled? Exactly in this region the problem with hangig tiles appeare.

all works fine on ZL13 and higher

it´s more and more confusing for me
today i purchased new map "germany south" in hope to solve my problem with it, please compare both screenshots with different maps i get different results
most problems apeare at ZL10-12

with disabeled shading


and with enabeled shading


how can i support you to solve this behavior?

althought i have disabeled shading, in down left area of german maps shading is visible in lower ZL

In case of hillshading I spend on it, because of previous reports, almost whole weekend and result is latest Beta version.

but i agree with john_percy and for me it´s a step backwards

While playing on sofa with disabeled GPS i noticed that my device temperature grows up ~45°C, so i assume the new shading needs more accu. With PRO i didn´t notice increase of temperature.

With Lomaps Germany and Baden_wurttemberg i see a problem on ZL 10-12 independent on used locus theme, with PRO it work well. N 47°59.940  E 7°50.526
It seams that some tiles ZL hang

do you try reverse in correct part (south or north) Germany?

i´ve renamed "_germany_south.osm.db"  to "_germany.osm.db" and copied it to map vector/europa/germany, here are also
_germany.osm.map and other german vector maps.
