It's only easy for your own points (within points and tracks).
But LOpoints and points.db from OSM maps are mainly influenced by the theme you choose, the size settings at a given zoom-level (which is chosen by the them developer) and the number of pixels your screen has.
It would be very handy if there was a dedicated button for (temporarily) changing the size of points from a points database like Lopoints.
I was recently fighting with this problem on my wife's phone. She has greatly oversized parking symbols covering way to much of the city map and blocking the view of most other symbols like shops and albuerge's. She uses the extra big font-size in the basic Android settings. And did not want to skip that, nor the database of points so we left it at that shortly before her trip.

Yeah, good job. I think these are called Dashboard. I thought of this option when I read your question before but had no time to answer then.

Now more screen on time means more battery consumption. TiP: there is a setting to switch on the screen when there is a navigation command (and then for 5 or so seconds).

Well for skiing I switched to Voluntary V5- because of the ski and sled option. But no worries, we're back home and hiking will start soon.

Thanks and installed (as zip). I will give it a try next week on the SuperSkiDolomiti and after that on our normal hiking where it is still our favorite.

About Tapatalk: that observation is correct. I had to switch to the website. Tapatalk has a button for that under the three dots.
Wil try the new theme next week with V5 maps.

Even in the search for online adresses we have the tick box: search around cursor location. Maybe some wildcard in the search field could give the adress of the location.

On second thought: we normally hike with zoom level 16. Two taps up to level 18 gives me readable street names. So what is the real problem/question? For sharing your location there are other options.

I do not see a Locus compatible map format on that site:

All maps are provided in 4 versions:

Region.EXE – Windows Installer.
Region.IMG – ready for your Garmin Device – including height (DEM) data.
Region-flat.IMG  – ready for your Garmin Device. These don't include height (DEM) data. For that, they are much smaller and faster, either in your Garmin or using the PC.
Region.GMAP – MAC or Windows. New Garmin installation method.

[And another good surprise: this problem is gone now. No changes done here so cannot tell why it disappeared. I will keep an eye on it. (Still have the screen recording to prove that it existed)]

And big surprise: an old problem from 3.48 is back with regard to shutting down Locus.
I wrote on 2020-10-2:
Faster indeed and (to my positive surprise) Locus shuts down correctly again by back button. Also with active guiding or navigation it works correct now. (With active navigation you get the standard alert).

Info: with the 3.48 versions Locus stayed active with visible gps symbol and it kept the active guidng alive and I had to swipe it away in the last used apps screen to really stop it. This happened on my Android 7 and on my wife's Android 10.

I can send you a screen recording (too big for attachment). First I close Locus over the back butten and second over swiping to the right. Always waiting more than 10 seconds in between closing and restart.

Meinst du auf die Karte mit gefarbte Liniën oder Symbolen sichtbare Routen/Wanderwege? Die sind in OpenStreetMaps und dann auch in LoMaps drin aber nur als Kartensymbol oder gezeichnete Linie. Dann geht es nicht, es sei denn du zeichnest die nach mit dem Routenplaner, wie Fred das beschreibt.

Aber: von viele auf die Karte sichtbare Wanderwegen, zb. alle E Routen (Europaeische) aber auch viele Lokale findest du im Internet .gpx tracks.
Die kanst du einfach in Locus importieren und dann mit Guiding oder Navigation verfolgen wie im Handbuch beschrieben.

Btw. I was mixing up G8 and G9 power. The G9 is coming but it doen not state the e-compass. I'll wait and see.
