I have the impression this has to do with me having a couple of older V2 maps mixed with V3 maps. Will test later.

Ok, the problem is with the couple of V2 maps I still have. I will replace them by newer V3 maps.

Ok, now on 2.11.1. Sorry for not testing last weeks; too busy just using Locus and other stuff.  

1. Vector maps are definitely faster now (compared to 2.10.2).
2. Auto load vector maps does not work at all.
3. Quick map switch does not do proper sorting on distance; even with GPS OFF (via Locus) it shows an order based on my real position. Meaning if I search a place in another country, the cursor goes there but the "quick map switch screen" shows two maps off my present position on top of the list.
4. The sun position in the compass screen is about 37 deg off
5. When zooming in or out I have occasionally one or more white tiles. Can't find a pattern there. Usually some zooming or panning "wakes them up".

Can confirm. About +37 deg too far to the south (clockwise). Nice addition (when it's correct).

Great. I did not realise the effect of that one because actually, the description is a bit confusing for me (with ...start/stop ...). I thought it only influenced the labels for the startpoint and endpoint of a track (but I never had it ticked).

Try:  Settings/ Map - Objects and Style / "scroll down to Style on Map" / Show Labels (Tracks) . I use "on hover".

Same goes for labels of Waypoints.

What Locus version are you on?  SInce maybe 2.9.7 (but at least the recent 2.10.2) shows that ecxactly, see screendump (track_distances). From Start (of track) to point 3 is 848 meters and from point 3 to finish of track is 24169 meters.

If you want to know the distance from your actual position to point 3, move the redcorss over point three and choose guiding, pick on map, confirm. See scrrenshot track_distances_guide_on. My actual position was 37082 meters from point 3.

1,3 no more crashes!!!! Looks a bit slower indeed (the rotation)

 Only one time (probably memory issue for a really long kml track, I hit center map and it zoomed out to level 8 for the too heavy map Netherlands hike.  (I could repeat the last one by manually zooming out and it crashes at level 9, nothing new.). NOT RELATED.

Even in the main menu screen, after two or three rotations the 2.10.1.1 test version crashes.
And in the functions screen and "deeper" also in the weather screen and the open street bugs screen. SOmetimes at the first rotation, sometimes it takes two or three rotations.  2.10.1 definitely does not do that.

If I open the weather screen in the test version from my right-side-bar it also crashes after rotation.

I saw only one. Now testing again. It's the functions screen and then rotating phone left 90 degrees. Gives shutdown. Also one level deeper with weather screen open.

Next when starting I get " over quota ..."  allthough starting with vector map.

My own Right side panel came up automatically.
Wheather is functioning fine (with one time info "To change Location etc).

All three search sources are working good (and have their own ideas about the city center).

Allthough it is a new installation of Locus Free, it also took over my points on map but not the one mapitem  (a kml file) I always have selected and not the language settings ( I use English and not my phone setting-language (Dutch)).
But this will probably ok in a normal update and anyway no problem for me.
