Menion says that there is no (easy) way to get the link of hardcoded maps, so I guess there isn't.

The thing is, that after tomorrow I want to hike 11 days in the Böhmerwald (Olbershau to Mezni Louka) and I am sure, that mostly I won't have any internet to get online maps.
I have not the time to make long experiments to get good offline maps for hiking.
I checked it now with Wireshark and noticed that there is a code to download for some maps.
I don't want to break some code, so I capitulate.

So there is no easy way to get the link of maps which are included "hardcoded" in locus?

Thank you for the link, but I don't find OSM - regional / MTB CR in my providers.xml and the App "Locus - addon Map Tweak" (from MjK) doesn't change this at all (Locus restarted etc.).

There are no OSM provider description at all in my custom providers.xml

Something must be wrong here.

how can I get the link from a locus online map to download it with MOBAC or else?

I have in locus Maps under:

Online / OSM - regional / MTB CR

it is a map downloadable for offline use with 50.000 tiles per day and 2 tiles Speed limit.
I would download a little region (in CSR, where I won't have internet on my phone) with MOBAC where I can set 2 tiles as limit.

I know that I could sniff it in the home net (where my phone is located) but this is much more work than maybe just otherwise, I hope.

I tried it with OpenTrackMaps (http://opentrackmap.cz/tiles/{z}/{x}/{y}.png) but without good result.

How does Locus get the OpenTrackMaps tiles?
I rarely get all, many are not available, the higher the zoom the less I get.

is it possible (I didn't find it in the settings or the search) to define somewhere in locus pro an own maplink for my own custom maps?

Example:
I save somewhere in the map settings the link:
http://example.org/tiles/z/x/y.jpg
as "mymap"
and now I can chosse "mymap" in online maps somwhere between all OSM, google, yahoo and all the other maps which I activated in
Settings / Map - advanced / Online maps

Is this possible yet?

No, this is not working, but I tried this before some times.
No I did it like this:
1. I made a backup in Titanium
2. I uninstalled Locus Pro in Titanium
3. I reinstalled Locus Pro in Titanium but only the app, not the data
4. I opened Titanium and I still have the not completely imported favorites (39 instead of 56)

By the way, why is this change from sqlite to some (for me unknown) database?
I can open and read Sqlite, but I don't know how to open this new db-files...

Ich wusste lange nicht, was das soll, ich dachte erst, "Laufen" wäre irgendeine Standardtätigkeit, wie ich sie nämlich genau so mal in MyTracks eingefügt hatte. Ich habe ein paar mal in allen Einstellungen gesucht ob das irgendwie über MyTracks, das man ja auch in Locus einbinden kann, da reingerutscht wäre.
Dann hab ich mal auf Englisch gestellt, da wurde es klar

Locus als Systemdienst
Laufen

So steht das bei mir auf dem SGS2 im Systray, wenn Locus minimiert ist und als Systemdienst eingestellt ist.
Das kommt vom englischen "Running", also "läuft", aber nicht "Laufen", das ist falsch übersetzt.

Kann man das ändern lassen?
Nervt mich schon lange, habe es hier aber nicht mit der Suche gefunden, diesen Übersetzungsfehler.

EDIT: besser natürlich als "läuft" wäre z.B. "aktiv" oder so.

When I use the navigation sometimes I don't need at all the voice indication, sometimes I really need it.
The  switch off and on is only deep in the settings.
Google Navigation has this very handy in the top Buttons, why not Locus?
It could be added to the Fast-Switches.

some days ago I noticed on my SGS2 (OS 2.3.5 root) that all my favorite points and all tracks where gone.
I didn't do anything with it, so I started to search and noticed that since about 27.10.2012 the automatic backups were nearly empty.
It must have been some Locus update in this time.
Indeed, there was a change of db-type from sqlite to something other.
I guess the conversion didn't work but I don't remember that I had to do this, might be automatically after the update.

Fortunately I backup the last three versions of my apps with titanium and I still had the version where the sqlite is used.
So I reverted to this, put the databasefavorites.sqll from the last good backup back and exported the favorites (as gpx).
I reinstalled the actual version and imported now the gpx favorites.
But from 54 favorites only about 30 were imported.

Is there a way to import the old databasefavorites.sqll completly into an actual Locus Pro app?
I didn't find this problem here in the forum but I think I cannot be the only one with this issue.

So maybe it is indeedly an incompatibility between CM10 and the driver for Windows XP OS as I cannot connect to two different XP-machines but to Mac and Vista.

To bring this to a point, I have to tell that I switched back to 2.3.5 after about a week.
CyanogenMod 10 (4.1.1) is yet not very stable and it was a big error of mine not to read enough about it and just installing it. I had to read later much more ;-)

What I said before, that there is no reason to change a perfect running system (OS 2.3.5) with a new and not totally compatible system was exactly right. I was too curious and this was a mistake.
Your son was very right as well, saying that CyanogenMod 10 (4.1.1) is not the same as the stock ROM.
Not at all!
I know it now and I had to pay this knowledge with many hours of struggle with the buggy OS.
Blame on Samsung not giving their sources.

Maybe I will update when the JellyBean stock ROM for SGS2 is available (with root).

At least locus did work flawlessly on CM 10 :-)

It was maybe a mistake to install this new OS.
It made me a lot of work.
And indeed there are some apps not working with JellyBean.
But CyanogenMod or stock Rom is not that difference.
I didn't want to install an OS which is soon again out of date.

My problem with the USB is surely related to my PC (Windows XP SP3, not the newest one) because the phone is working with Mac OSX, both memory cards are working there.
EDIT: and even with Windows Vista 64 it is working!
