Yes, broadly speaking a speed camera flash is the same as a normal camera flash. It depends on the type of camera as to which way it faces. Hopefully it was another car being flashed!
Quote from: "wodellma"Is a speed camera flash the same as a normal camera flash? I noticed a flash to the drivers side of my car the other day, curious to know would this have been a photo camera or a speed camera? Or do speed cameras only take front or rear photos , and you would see the flash from the front or rear depending on where the photo was taken?(this was during the day) Any ideas?
Cheers

Menion thank you for the continual improvements to Locus. When I exit from  Locus 1.16.2, I sometimes get taken to a blank white screen and have to press the back button again to fully exit.  :(

I am unlikely to visit anther site on a regular basis. I like the current forum because I have an RSS feed and Tapatalk so can easily monitor developments.
Quote from: "menion"unfortunately not. If you prefer communication over tapatalk, you may just use this "old" forum. I was already looking, if they have some native application for android, but seems they have only app for iPhone ... maybe later
so no problem, discussion here isn't ending ;)

You asked "so what you think? any other tips?"
This interesting post by Roman Nurik is about Improving App Quality
http://android-developers.blogspot.com/ ... ality.html
He mentions that "there are some great support tools out there that can put you in touch with your users directly such as Google Groups, Zoho Discussions, getsatisfaction.com and uservoice.com."
My request would be to make sure that RSS and Tapatalk are supported.  Preferably all in the same site. What was wrong with the Thanks button?  It makes it easy to support suggestions.

Berkley thank you very much! I downloaded England and checked the new map now has the names of the shops in the new Westfield Stratford shopping centre which opened in September's last year just in time for the 2012 Olympics.
Quote from: "berkley"Hi everybody, if you have some time, may you please check some downloads from vectormaps4locus.eu ? I recently switched back to multiupload and I am not sure, if i've done all the copy&paste correctly... Thanks!
I am pleased you can make some money from advertising to cover some of the costs of for your work. I would only suggest if you can show date updated then I would visit and download more often.

The combination of Locus and vector SD OSM is unbeatable - much better on my mobile than Google maps even using Wifi or than the recently released MapQuest app for Android!

The phpBB 'thanks for posts' mod will allow us to give feedback to you (and other posts)
//http://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/thanks_for_posts/

It may be obvious but you do know that phpBB allows you to create a poll?

Note that Androidpit did not spell the name of the Locus program correctly:

[Advent Calendar] Day 20: Loucs Pro 50% Off
//http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/blog/400813/Locus-Pro

but you can get it at the above link (found thanks to hanka!)

Menion
Had Force Close problems with Version 1.15.0 & 1.15.1 but these have been solved with 1.15.2 thanks. Also tried 1.15.2.2 and it is OK for me but I do not use .tar format.
You might like to know that Locus works well with Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) on my HTC HD2. The menu is slightly different - see screen shots.
Keep up the good work!
