I deleted this file (without problems)and ran locus. The tracks were unchecked.
But when I check-> exit locus -> run locus ->unchecked -> exit locus -> run locus ==> tracks are visible.

Edit: I've just taken a deeper insight into this problem and there are conclusions:
I've two recorded tracks named track1 and track2.
Test scenario after deletion .visibleTracks file:
check track1 -> track1 is visible-> exit locus -> run locus ==> track1 is visible ==> OK
uncheck track1, check track2 -> track1 is hidden, track2 is visible -> exit locus -> run locus ==>  track1 is hidden, track2 is visible ==> OK
check track1, uncheck track2 -> track1 is visible, track2 is hidden -> exit locus -> run locus ==>  track1 is visible, track2 is hidden  ==> OK
uncheck track1 -> track1 is hidden, track2 is hidden -> exit locus -> run locus ==>  track1 is visible, track2 is hidden ==> NOT OK

Partly the second one. When I disable my tracks in Track manager screen and return to the map, tracks are off. But, when I launch Locus one more time the tracks are visible again.

I have a problem since last update. I can't turn off showing recorded tracks.  When I uncheck all tracks and launch locus again tracks are still visible.

Very nice article - and you're right, it depends on the display type. Amoled saves battery if dimmed, TFT (I guess this is the display type of Samsung Spica) might not save anything.

Just out of curiosity, which application is resistant regarding the BT comm bug?

The funniest thing is, after using this application some of time I can use any other tb gps application without problems. Until next phone reboot .

Thanks, I know this application. I wanted more dim my screen to save battery, but i suppose this application using some kind of software solution rather actually dim a leds backlight of screen.
I was forced not to off(lock) my screen, because of some kind of bug with bluetooth communication (phone vs bluetooth gps module). This bug causes a communication freezes. That is why I've used a screen dim.
Now I found application which is resistant of this bug.

When I'm using "allow to dim a screen" option, I would like to have a possibility to set level of dim. Is there possibility to create such option?

BlueTooth GPSdevice:
# There is no sound on SATfix. (enabled notification with a beep in the settings)
# There is no sound if i lost GPSsignal. (enabled with a 10sec beep in the settings)
# If i go inside the House with my BTDevice (BT conected with Locus) - Locus does not recognize there is no more Signal from the BTDevice.
# If i turned off my device - Locus does not recognize there is no more Signal from the BTDevice.
Testet with SGS2(2.3.5) & SGTab10.1(3.2) and RoyalTek BT2003 SIRFIII

Ok. How about gps fix lags when you're using BT GPS device? I've reported this problem some time ago. When I go to satelites view, there is "last fix gpx" timer. I've 5 to 10 secs lags there. When I use external application to connect bt device (eg. Bluetooth GPS) gpx fix is refreshing much more frequently (about 1sek).
Do you have something like this?

At first you have to import to new category a old.gpx file, and second one import the new.gpx file to the same category checking "apply to all".
In the attachment I've put also a geoget import screenshot to show you differences found by another application.

I've problem during import gpx file to selected category. When I want to import gpx file (data manager -> category -> category item -> import ->select gpx file) the import popup appears and I check replace for all. After all there appears 0 point imported.
Gpx file have some different points (eg. logs added to selected points) that previous imported.

I recently solved my problem. I've simply installed application Swapper which makes swap file on sd card. This is some kind of extending RAM memory using flash memory.

System kills Locus very often but not always. For example when I want to run another application and locus is in background. It's hard to say when system kills locus process. I only can give you a conditions my locus working:
-offline map medium size about 1/10 size of Poland
-about 500 geocache points visible on map
-navigation to POI is running

I've  a big request to you to increase a Locus priority. I've a problem with my device (Samsung i5700). When I minimalize Locus application, it is often equal to closing it by android system (lack of ram memory I suppose) . But when there is track record process running, locus can't by closed by system. Could you do the same with main Locus process to prevent closing it by system.

I've tested lately different configurations.
Locus using internal GPS module works fine. There are no lags.
Locus connected to my external bleutooth module has still lags. Apparently there is problem with bluetooth communication between Locus and external GPS. Lags can be seen in satellites window in "last GPS fix". The timer doesn't refresh very often. One time 5sec other time even 30sec.
When I use "Bluetooth GPS" application with Locus everything works fine: timer steps every one second.
That means there is problem with Locus.
