Analysis and fix has to be on Locus side for sure.

One year passed - result?

My configuration (except better Hardware) has not changed. So it's a Locus failure.

Sadly, this behaviour continues in 2024. I mentioned it last year here. Did my first longer motorcycle day trip for this year and what happened: Locus crashes. Worse! App freeze after 2.5 hours, then it close itself.

I have gold abo, newest LoMaps, Sunny 1" SRTM with shading activated, Autozoom enabled and was navigation a route planned with Locus Routeplanner about 250 km.

Please fix this issue. I use Locus Maps since 2018 for motorcyling with thousands of kilometers and never had this issue since last year.

Für Motorrad oder auch Auto mit "kurvenreicher schönster Strecke" und daheim gesetzten Wegpunkten -> Calimoto

Ersetze Calimoto durch Kurviger, dann passt es. Anschließend aus Kurviger als Track exportieren, in Locus importieren, fix Route nachzeichnen, fertig.

Zum Nachfahren vorgeplanter Routen mit abgeschalteter Routenneuberechnung ist Locus top. A-B Routing über kurze Strecken geht auch, nur bei längeren Routen taugt mir der Lorouter nicht so.

In old V3 (before this entries could be set in application expert settings) you had to enable zoom via hardware buttons in config.cfg:

Question: Would it be possible to enable screen lock toggle via config.cfg entry in V3? So that additional hardware button can be used for this function.

In V4 this can be enabled in application expert settings.

Ich verwende keine Online Karten, sondern LoMaps.

Nur dass ich beim Motorradfahren nie nur hohe Zoomstufen aktiviert habe. Autozoom je nach Geschwindigkeit, aber dadurch natürlich häufiges Nachladen von Kacheln in allen möglichen Zoomstufen.
Komme aber in Kürze nicht dazu, das zu testen.

Nunja, ich war jetzt in 18 Tagen 4200 km mit dem Motorrad und Locus Map unterwegs. Navigation nach Routen, die mit dem Locus Routenplaner geplant wurden. Die App ist mir jeden Tag zweimal abgestürzt. Davon das erste Mal immer so nach 2,5 h, danach hielt es etwas länger.
Zeigte sich in Einfrieren des Bildschirms, danach tschüss.
Hatte bislang keine Lust, mich darum zu kümmern. Von daher passt dieser Thread ganz gut.
Werde versuchen, die App als Service laufen zu lassen.

Ich ziehe jetzt auch bewußt keine Vergleiche mit Locus Classic (V3), mit der ich solche Probleme nie hatte. Dafür haben sich die Android-Versionen zu stark verändert, als dass so ein Vergleich zulässig wäre.

Locus comes with the import diaolog posted by tapio, claims "succesfull", but theme is not shown and can´t be selected. Theme stays unzipped in theme directory. Manual unzipping gives same result - theme not installed.

Private directory under Android 11.

Download, click (in a file manager), select Locus as handler, wait some seconds until Locus has created its internal extract, enjoy!

Does not work. Locus will not extract it. If I extract it by myself, it will not be recognized. Tested on 3 devices.
