Today morning I again tinkered with my xCover and explored and tested Locus settings and then suddenly I got normal/good WMS layer display.
But I did not think that I changed a setting that is connected with map display.

Could it be a seting of Locus, that could change WMS display?

Most likely I just forgot the lock button.

Any way sorry for disturbing - all is working as expected.

Hm, than it should work as expected.

I did quick tests on Samsung Galaxy S (higher resolution screen) and Galaxy Xcover (lover resolution).
And I got different results on both devices. It looks like it is somehow connected with device screen resolutions.
But it does not seem for me that on xCover the resolution is so bad, that it is needed to make so pixelized .

Troubles & Questions / additional parameters for WMS
November 22, 2012, 11:40:40
Hi!

I read another post, that in some cases we would need to use WMS services and to supply username and password.
I have another need for feature that allows to supply some additional CGI parameters to WMS services, f.ex.
I have a wms service, that by default is given in another projection. Locus can take it. If I understood right, than
Locus makes geo transformation on the fly and converts it to WGS84. Overall it is o'k - I am getting the WMS displayed
correctly, but it is no so nice looking (pixelized) and min max zooms (layer auto switches) working slightly different.
And I know that server is capable to supply the WMS images in WGS84 and in that case the WMS overlay is just perfect
and switches on/of in right zoomlevel. It was checked by using the WMS layer on web displays with OpenLayers.

Could there be a solution for this?

Maps / Re: Custom polygon overlay
November 21, 2012, 22:56:03
Sorry not KLM - it was a mistake. The right one is KML

Static labels - I saw same demo on internet:
http://tech.reumer.net/Google-Maps/Demo ... rkers.html

The one thing that it a bit confusing the users is that even if the KML element is polygon - it is treated like track.
I.e. when you like to get the info on polygon you should go througt a point of polygon - not just putting the cursor over polygon.

Are there other vector data formats supported in Locus, that could be used as user data overlays (if theyr behaviour in Locus is other)?

Probably I should use the KML tags for polygon in some different way - so that it will not be interpreted like a track/route?

Maps / Re: Custom polygon overlay

Thank you for answers.

Now I got polygons into the Locus.

So here follows the next questions:

Labels:
Is it possible to get static labels for the same polygons from KML?
Does the Locus works with KLM(XML) format specifications and I could rely on them?

Search:
Can I search within my KML by some text string in attributes?

Maps / Custom polygon overlay
November 19, 2012, 18:19:48
Hi,

I am looking for some way to display on a map my custom polygons as overlays.
I need base map and some polygons over them.
In best case it would be nice if I can see some identify information on these polygons some way.

Is it possible and what would be the right way to do that?
