Hello Menion,
I  use locus on an aArchos 70 tablet with a bluetooth GPS connected (Holux M-241). With the latest version (5.8.2012) a new issue occures: Even when the device receives data from the gps, the little "sattelite dish" stays red. It seems to be only the current state is displayed wrong - since everething works fine nd I am able to see my position as the blue dot. With the previous version that issue was not there. Also with a built in GPS the issue is not there - I checked this with my brand new Samsung galaxy pocket.
Of course this is a minor issue, but I hope you can fix this.

kind regards from Hamburg,
Stephan

PS: Keep on your great work on this software, which I use nearly every day (how could I live without before?)!

Sorry Menion, I have seen this thread after writing my other post.
One of the points is: The tracks are always imported to the preset category "imported". Then you have to change the category afterwards for each file.
Plus there is no method to import multiple tracks at once at the moment. So - if you prepare for a hiking vacation with many downloaded tracks you have a lot of work by now.
Besides, maybe the usage scenario is different on a phone, but I use Locus on a tablet (Archos 70) for to hiking, kajaking and geocaching. So it would be nice to have own categories for the different things. Again sorry!

Wishlist / Wishlist for Tracks
July 01, 2012, 12:19:28
Hi,
I checked out the new tracks screen and found some topics here.
When I import data using the "Import Data" function I will be prompted for a category to choose.
These categories belong to the waypoints contained in the data.
But when the data (f.e. gpx files) contain also tracks and routes they are imported to the synthetic category "imported".
Then I tried to manually change the category (which I don't want to do for all the imported stuff).
I realised there is another set of categories which I can not change and which do not fit my needs.

What would be nice now(okay for me...):
  • Use the same set of categories for both points and tracks
  • When tracks are imported use the selected category to avoid having to edit afterwards
  • Allow to import several data files at once (at the moment one sees a popup when selecting one single file and when ticking "ok" the file is imported immediately) - of course only ask once for a category and use this for imported files

Kind regards,
Stephan

PS:
:D  What you have created for the last years is really absolute impressive - nearly every update is a big step forewards.
Thanks for all the hard work!  :D

Great Idea! But make it choosable (for example a checkbox in front of the transparency slider). When the checkbox is selected, the slider will be disabled.)
