Thank you a lot for your effort, guys. But the issue is solved. I just deleted my whole vector maps folder and let Locus create a new one, put any of the openandromaps files inside and it works again.

I have no idea what the conflict might have been, there were no overlapping areas in the file (to my knowledge except for the experiment trying it with the separate Saarland and Rheinland-Pfalz file).

But all the other vector maps from areas I barely visit (only during vacation or while flying over them by plane) have been outdated for a long time and I'll just update it.

The tracks I attached are all in "Saarland" or "Rheinland-Pfalz" (2 bordering regions in Germany where I live right on the border)

I went through my files and for example for this ancient track from 2011 it doesn't show anything.

Normally I'm using the openandromaps vector map for the whole of Germany. I just tried it with the one only for the specific region. Doesn't change anything.

Different track, same issue. I have the problem with every track I have. It hasn't always been like this but I can't point to a specific point when it started.

I could only try if I even have it when the track is very very short.

I disabled auto loading of vector maps and it doesn't change anything.

Hello Menion,

thank you for your response. I've attached the track to this post. But as I say, it has nothing to do with this specific track.

Hello,

I've had the problem for month and tried not to bother about it. But it bothers me more and more.

When I record any track and want to share it with the track statistics it is always rendered partially white. It isn't specific to a region in my vector map (from openandromaps). I can go wherever I want, about half the preview picture is always white. I've tried a newer version of the vectormap (of the whole of Germany). I've tried it in different countries (with other vector maps). Always the same issue.

I've been using it for many many years without a problem.

I've attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Hi,

I've been a Locus user since 2011, mainly to look on the offline maps in the middle of the forest and to occasionally track my ride.

Anyway, I just got a heart rate sensor and a proper bike mount to keep my cellphone on and in sight during the whole ride.

I noticed, that the current speed reading while riding in the forest, with a lot of trees is up to 50% off from the actual speed (measured with my bike odometer). When I ride on an open area, the speed calculated by Locus is by a margin of 0.5 km/h the same as my bike odometer reads.

So it kind of makes, I guess the GPS signal in the forest is not too good, but the tracking itself (= the waypoints) are good and fairly accurate, the total distance of the trip matched by a deviation of about 200 meters on a 30km trip with the bike odometer. I also don't have the false speed problem with another app called "Sportactive" or runtastic.

How can it be, that Locus records the track/waypoints fairly correctly, but the speed calculation has a error of about 50%?

Thank you. Somehow I'm loosing track of all the locus related info. Somehow, in my impression, it is spread on too many places. This forum, the one you posted etc.

But thanks, I'll look into the info you gave me  :D

I've seen, that in the new release live tracking is possible. But I don't find any information about it, am I blind  ;) ?

Do I understand correctly, that with this feature, I can "stream" my location at that someone at a computer, can watch were I am currently? When I open the options for this feature in Locus, I can input some server settings. What kind of server does that need to be? How do I set it up? What do I have to do?

But it would be cool if it worked, just yesterday I was thinking about requesting such a feature :P

Thanks a lot! I like it. Just a question: Is there a way, that street names are visible unless I've zoomed in very very deep?
#11
It worked. Thank you!!! You're awesome!!!!  8-)

Oh thanks! Yeah that worked. You're right. As soon as I'm back home on my WiFi Connection I'll update Locus again.

PS: Because I can not go online with the android device (for a while). Is it possible to get the apk file of the updated version on google market somehow? So then I can copy it onto the device with the laptop.

Hi. A couple of days ago, locus crashed while I was checking my location on a trip. Since then, it crashes every time, just seconds after I open it. It starts, i can see the "refreshing" icon in the top bar, and then it crashes.
I attached the crash log, if that helps. It was very unfortunate today, because it was actually the first time I really 'needed' it instead of just playing around

Any idea why and how I can fix it? Unfortunately, I can not go online with the android device. I'm typing this on a laptop with a cable connection.

Implemented / Re: Irish Grid projection.

I know this is not really the place for a discussion of that kind BUT:

What is the use/need of such a system???    (I do not mean in Locus, but generally...)

Haha.. how cool is that? I was just about to write the same request for a feature like this because I've also tried my tracks and found it really helpful.

It is really cool of you Menion, that you interact so great with your customers. There is no doubt, that the little money I spent on Locus Pro is the best spent money for any virtual product I've got! You don't get such a good support for software products that cost 10 times more then Locus Pro!!! Awesome!

Anyway, I've got a question :P

Is it possible, to enable a legend, that shows which speed each color  represents? In "My Tracks" there there is a legend as far as I remember. Didn't find it in Locus, but maybe I'm just blind
