Dear Menion

Do you remember the below ? ^^
--------------------------------------------------
Could you add  'waypoint next' to top panel ?
I have tested 'improved guiding top panel'
I can view 'Distance to next waypoint', but I can not know clearly which waypoint is the next.
Sometimes I have confused which waypoint is the next and whether Locus is operated properly or not.
If the 'Waypoint next' is added, and I select ' Waypoint next' on left top, 'Distance to next' on right top , I could see easily what I want to see.
-----------------------------------------------
Always Thanks !

I have received a mail with the attached gpx file on Gmail.
But the download box was not appeared because Google did not support the gpx file.
So I have installed 'Astro' file manager, and  set 'Preference/Enable Browser Download'.
As a result, I could see the download box of the attached gpx file.
When I touched the download box, Oruxmaps was excuted.

I want to excute Locus when I touch the download box of gpx file.
How can I do to do this?

My friend sent me his location(coordinates) by SMS.
He told me he used  a function of Locus, 'Share map center'.

In that case,
Can I easily make a waypoint by only cut & paste his location(coordinates)
and navigate there on Locus ?

The coordinate format in 'Share map center' is 'N dd mm.mmm I S dd mm.mmm'
Can I make a waypoint by that format ('N dd mm.mmm I S dd mm.mmm') in 1 line format.
If it is possible,
I can send my location by sms on Locus and navigate the location received by sms through only copy and paste.

I think this is very useful function in outdoor activity, eg. emergency rescue, ...
Thank you very much for reading my wish.
Expecting a good news from you soon.

I have a track with thousands of track points and a few waypoints.
On track navigation, I want to know the distance to a waypoint or the destination from the current position on the track.
Is it possible in Locus ?
I mean the distance is not a straight line but a real track distance.

As I know, Locus shows the straight line distance to a nearest track point from the current position.
A straight line distance is helpful.
But if we can monitoring the real track distance to a waypoint or the destination, it is more desirable for us.
Although I am on the track line, the straight line distance is less helpful than the real track distance because the track is not straight and I can't follow with the straight line.

I expect a good news about this !

Declined / Data field on top dashboard

I want to see the data field on map page in Locus

On Garmin Oregon series, the user can select the data field he want to see on map page.
The data field has many data items, for example, bearing, course, distance to next ...

I usually select 2 items on top dashboard on Oregon, Waypoint at next, Distance to next.
They help me to climb the mountain.
Some can select 4 items, Heading, ETA at Next, ETA at Destination, etc. ...
Recently, I noticed that this function is added on Oruxmaps(version 4.0)

Would you give positive consideration to this?

Declined / Route and Track
August 02, 2011, 02:53:33
Concerning about : http://www.topografix.com/gpx/1/1/

Waypoint : wpt represents a waypoint, point of interest, or named feature on a map.
Route : rte represents route - an ordered list of waypoints representing a series of turn points leading to a destination
Track : trk represents a track - an ordered list of points describing a path.

In general, most gps app. deal with waypoints, routes, and tracks.
But, Locus does not have the concept of 'Route'.
In Locus, I think that  the concept of Track are used to be mixed with Route
Frankly speaking, I am very confused with that.

Why don't you add the concept of Route in Locus ?
