1. yes, this is possible. Currently, LoPoins are no longer directly connected to the map and live partially their own life. So it may be possible, that three databases are working at once.
It is not a usual situation and a big problem, so I've just at least added a check on duplicities based on the name and coordinates. Let me know if this helped.

2. Hmm this settings most probably no longer works in Locus Map 4. Please open the left "Map content" panel and here is an option for LoPoins online and also separate for LoPoints offline.

3. All categories have their own defined icon/style. When points are displayed automatically, it always uses a style of the currently selected Vector theme for V3 maps. When you display them manually, it is used the predefined style of the category. This will be changed someday :).

We are finalizing base content for online LoPoints and the next step will be to convert this to offline together with new UI & control.

Automatic night mode: you mean coloring of the map, right? It does not use any system settings. It is based on the compute of sunrise/sunset by the app itself.

@ADiet
I'm checking what I may do with sensor sensitivity and ... nothing. The app only receives true/false values, so sorry,  can't help here. Maybe some other settings like "two waves" or turning screen by double tap on the screen (some devices support this) ...

@Viajero Perdido
thanks for testing! If fixed, then only as a side effect of any other change.

"Geocaching" heading ... you are right. I like these heading to clearly separate parts of UI. Any idea what to put here instead of "Geocaching"? "Geocache metadata" is too geeky  :)

"Load all waypoints" ... Hmm, I've detected that the app does not draw waypoints in some cases when the bottom point dialog is visible ... maybe it is related. Fixed.

@tapio
Nono, don't understand me bad. You get notifications also on the mobile network. These notifications are controlled by Google Play services. I just wanted to say, that such notification may result in the sync task being done.

Inconsistency: thanks, this should be probably improved, I'll look at it.

@JackRussel
For LM4, use a version of the app for Locus Map Free. We just need to rename it once LM4 will be official.

Hi guys,
so the version is uploaded on Google Play and waits for some validation process. After that, it will be available as the final version over the Beta test channel, same as Locus Map Free before.

Unsolved topics from last discussion(s):
- accidental long clicks
- crashes on Samsung A11+ devices
- maps as a part of Presets

Final pre-release topic for Locus Map 4: https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=7258.0

Final release data is 30. 3. We firstly wanted 23. but rather wait a week and do some more tests & fixes.

I was also testing Promo codes, because I want to give most of you codes to use Gold for some time for free as a small thanks for your amazing help here, but I have some technical problems with it for now, so it will take a few days probably, sorry.

New version MapGooglePlay_4.0.0 - Beta 6_988_beta, download

And do not forget on one new topic about the web planner ;)

Crashes should be fixed. @tapio, this is another older problem (missing feature). Not sure how many new things I'll be able to finish before we will release a public version ...

Enjoy weekend!

@poutnikl
hmm oki, so what is the suggestion? I still use the Pixel 2 device (5''! screen) and never had a problem with this and I currently have no idea, how to make it better.

New version MapGooglePlay_4.0.0 - Beta 1_983_beta just uploaded.

Quite a lot of changes mainly as a reaction to the discussions here on the forum, so big thanks!

@auric
First you need to ensure that Expert Settings is turned on:
- long press Locus main menu button
- tap Expert settings
- Expert settings appear in Locus Map settings

Then it's Settings > Expert Settings > Development > Dark Application Theme

(Both Expert Settings and Dark Theme are at the bottom of their screen of settings, so scroll and scroll.)

New update version MapGooglePlay_3.49.1.11_979_beta just published!

Hey, and the new year is coming? Hope you are all healthy and enjoy at least little nature and wind in your hairs instead of sitting home with Locus Map (like me)  ;).

As for the map center button. "Hold map" is the only menu option on longtap. A submenu with just one entry feels wrong. I think it would feel very right, if after longtap it toggles the hold state.
