Versions / Re: [APP] - version 3.42.+ ( 5. 12. 2019 )

Because when you are not centered, the map rotates about some imaginary "map screen center" point and not around you ... because you (on your location) are who rotate with the device. And also, if you are not centered, it is most probably because you are moving with the map. And it's a problem I wrote before, that annoys me for years when checking the map in the field and not centered.
@menion - sorry I read your post a few times but I don't understand your point. If I have a paper map and real compass I can rotate the map, and don't see why an app shouldn't be able to reproduce this same behavior, really whether GPS is enabled or not. It seems logical & consistent to me that the map be able to rotate around the current map center, if desired.

b) I personally even with my quite slim fingers, from time to time incorrect tap on buttons in function panels, so I believe that this increase in width will be a benefit for easier usage.
@menion - also remember/ please don't remove the functionality of config.cfg dev_gui_main_rescale_value setting. Maybe migrate into expert settings. It allows function panel buttons to be increased in size for this purpose.

Also, more importantly, merry Christmas & happy new year to Menion & all the incredibly hard working Locus team, and wishing you all great success in 2020.

How disable rotation without centering?
I do not think one button is a clever step.

Where i have to put the theme files?

Hallo Wolfgang,

locus-actions://http/futureback.de/op2gpx/op2gpx-locus.php?query=%5Btimeout%3A60%5D%5Bout%3Ajson%5D%3Brel%0D%0A++%5Bboundary%3Dadministrative%5D%0D%0A++%5Badmin_level%3D8%5D%0D%0A++%28{screenLatBottom}%2C{screenLonLeft}%2C{screenLatTop}%2C{screenLonRight}%29%3B%0D%0A%28._%3B%3E%3B%29%3B%0D%0Aout%3B

« on: August 16, 2019, 17:50:13 »
Hallo Leute,

ENDLICH habe ich einen Wetterdienst gefunden, der das seriös betreibt, sehr nutzbare App (Play Store) und vor allem Website hat (mit tollem Mobil-Interface) und sich perfekt in Locus einbinden lässt.

Schaut mal: https://www.meteoblue.com/de/wetter/woche/51.166N7.894E539_Europe%2FBerlin

https://www.meteoblue.com/de/wetter/woche/{mapLat}N{mapLon}E

So bekommt Ihr das Wetter am Kartenmittelpunkt.

Beste Grüße
Michael

Add-ons / Re: GPS Averaging app is now malware
« on: June 22, 2019, 18:31:01 »
As a reaction to the new GPS Averaging app Menion reopend Position averaging when taking a point at the help desk.
So if there are enough votes for the idea there might be a solution direct within locus.

Hello Magellan
please tell me, how do you copy/move/insert the accurate koords from Mobile Topographer Free to the POI you have created with locus
Hi balloni55,
Click on "Survey", "Start accurate positioning", wait for coordinates, "Stop accurate positioning", press in left bottom corner the symbol (map with position), export to Locus

Tiramisù as OpenTopoMap

for the topography, and exploration on the maps

only for V4 maps!

For V3 (lomaps and other)  TOTM 1.9.2 - > https://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=6027.0

in the future it will be slightly improved:
  • all water except springs (rivers, streams, lakes, canals, etc.)
  • all railway and tram
  • all labels
  • setting priorities
  • streets, driveways and younger roads in the direction of greater elegance (at the moment - too thick)
on my smartphone 282 ppi, 320 dpi

It also works well on Oruxmap, Cruiser, and most likely in other mapsforge-compatible programs
(tested in Oruxmaps 7.4.22, Cruiser 1.7)

Map: ESRI satellite;  Overlay 85%: OAM Ural ML;  Layer "Terrain" in the theme is OFF
Waiting for comments and constructive criticism.

Hi Locus community,

I made a simple icon pack similar to the marker icons used in OsmAnd – they are well visible also on detailed maps, that’s why I like that style. Maybe they are useful for you, too.

Best, Lucas

Themes - Vector maps / Re: [Theme] HiLo hiking theme
« on: April 26, 2019, 20:02:39 »
@Petr
I do not understand yet how these layers affect Mapsforge, but thanks for the explanations.

@Gunnar
I had already found out that it is related to the forest, but still had no time to think of a workaround. Thank you for your workaround. I will take it over.

@All
The changes I will no longer in the HiLo theme but only in the follow-up theme "active RT", if interested can download this on Github.
